I'll need to subscribe to the YouTube channel then. Or maybe I already have and forgot. That's an increasingly common theme these days. Forgetfulness.

Nothing of interest on it. an odd choice of Music Videos, 2 clips from the More From The Road Release and some promotion work for recent releases and the whole Dog Of Two Head campaign... Mine has more interesting material on it Interviews, TV appearances, Promo Videos, Live footage etc...

I don't. But with the new album out just now, it's less of an issue at the moment. It shouldn't be a rush job.

Have you or Frozen Hero got any idea when it will be released? Possibly not until the new year as they're still waiting on Perfect Remedy and Thirsty Work so they can be released in the usual sets of 3. Cheers

Just sort of been thinking about this. Coz I'm a bit sad like that It's a pity they didn't consider live songs from the winter tour, although I can appreciate the marketing value in the whole Rock 'til You Drop marathon thing. It's just that the set list that year was great with at least 5 songs from the album in there that didn't stay for that much longer. We had Like A Zombie, Rock' til You Drop, Fakin' the Blues, One Man Band and No Problems. Off the top of my head anyway. I don't think Let's Work Together made it to the full tour. Live versions of these aren't exactly ten a penny. Just musing.

mortified You'll get your wish granted. It's just that the sound quality is as expected, so I'd consider it more of a bonus for the diehard fans.

Live versions of these aren't exactly ten a penny. Just musing. Let's Work together lasted in the set for a short while before being dropped and replaced by another track from the album. They played a total of 8 tracks from the album, which is the most from any post '86 album. Like A Zombie Fakin' The Blues One Man Band Rock 'til You Drop Can't Give You More (I'm counting it for this album rather than Rockin' as they're different in their own ways) Let's Work Together No Problems The Price Of Love (Also counting this for the RTYD album as it's different to their '69/'70 version of it) frozenhero those 5 tracks; One Man Band, Fakin' The Blues, No Problems, Rock 'Til You Drop and Can't Give You More (Live Performances) have all been dropped, as Andy said it would take a lot for them to sound up to scratch and they all came from bad sources anyway so it was a fair enough comment. This past week Andy has revisited disc 3 again to add the additional tracks from the Live Event, so I don't think he's even got onto Perfect Remedy or Thirsty Work yet. Cheers

I'm not happy about that at all. Nor that I don't get to hear about that until now I mean, some of the stuff that was included on the 70s and 80s albums was not sounding any better, and those weren't even rarely played songs! The version of CGYM I sent through sounded really good, I think, mp3 source notwithstanding, and what about this? Doesn't this sound good? It's disappointing because those tracks wouldn't have occupied much space, it'd have to be a 3CD set anyway to accommodate the event live tracks. Without the dropped tracks disc 2 becomes awfully short. Seriously, I don't get it.

They were dropped on Friday as non of us were too sure about them and they were still highlighted as red on the excel doc, so they were on the fence about whether to keep them or ditch them. I did send through a decent copy of the RTYD performance from Madrid without the voice over at the beginning, from a FLAC source but it didn't make the cut.

I wasn't aware they'd played Can't Give You More at any stage. I don't recall them playing it during the Rockin' tour either. But it's a shame these songs won't make it. I thought the quality of live songs might have improved as the new decade kicked in. Evidently not. Oh well. It was the same with Thirsty Work. There were a few songs from that in the set as well. Just don't chuck Restless at us. Not even to make up the numbers

Surely there must be a decent version of One Man Band somewhere, that managed to stay in the set for several years didn't it?

I'm trying to keep the deluxe editions clear from audience recorded content from now on as they have better stuff to be included hiding in the archives

And you're out of luck there! of course Restless is being included, don't be daft Goin' Nowhere / Soft In The Head Rude Awakening Time Queenie Restless Cheers

For me Soft in the Head was the best song on Thirsty Work by quite a margin, but it was let down by the rather weak production. So I’ll be interested to hear a live version of it, I’m hopefully it will be superior to the studio version.

Maybe he did change the key(?), but his singing sounds good - so that could be an option for Quo as well. If they included Queenie, Rude Awakening Time or Restless in the set I was thankfully spared that, as it was during the 'wilderness years', when I didn't see them live for over a decade. Soft In The Head though is indeed by far the best tune on TW, so I'd have liked to hear that live. Obviously during the 90s they experimented unusually frequently with the set (for Quo standards), so I missed out on quite a few rare live performances. It was just that I wasn't convinced they'd still cut it live (and there were other more important things going on in my life). Should've tried it out ..

The fact that many of these songs that we're discussing from the 90's were in the set only briefly (and 1999 with Under The Influence continued the theme) means that, apart from dodgy bootlegs, it's all based on memory. Well, it is for me. So although I can recall songs being played, I can't remember how good or otherwise they were. Apart from Restless of course From 1991 through to 1999 I reckon something like 20 songs were played live but only on the one tour; the tour of the album they happened to be promoting. So uncovering any of these live songs is quite a big deal for some of us. Although I appreciate we now have the 1996 songs courtesy of the Beeb Beeb Ceeb. It's the same with I Saw The Light, Nightride, Mad About The Boy, Ring of A Change, You Don't Own Me, Rockers Rollin', Oh What A Night and quite a few others. All lost as far as live performances go. It's a real shame Quo don't have things like that lurking in a vault like several other acts from the 70's and beyond. But it is what it is and I'm always grateful for small mercies

Edit: I just noticed the second video doesn't start where it should: 1 hour, 17 minutes and about 15 seconds for Can't Give You More.

Even then he must have been struggling, because those vocals are 100% overdubbed!
When he sings the line "Oh And Time Is Always Passing By", he pulls away from the mic but can still be heard clearly... rookie mistake right there. I'm pretty sure his vocals for Twenty Wild Horses are overdubbed also. The delay on the vocals gives away the poor mixing done to try and blend the overdubs.
