I just heard 20 seconds of Get out of my head. It was showed on facebook. I really like how it sounded. From what I have heard, it seems like it fits on the NTL album. Yeah, I think its great, a speeded up roadhouse blues, it's also Richies song, I kind of want him to sing it.

Cheers Works nicely for this social media unfriendly reprobate It does have a speeded up Roadhouse feel to it. Slide popping in and out as well I think.

I Wanna Run Away With You incidentally, for those who don't realise the second link is a different song. ....Polly was my immediate thought as well. But nice. THAT Quo groove. So, what do we have now in total? 2 full songs, another one live, an original by John David and 2 very quick samplers. Similar to what was happening before Rick's album came out. Although not the live bit obviously That's over half of the 11 tracks from the main release. I wonder where the ballad is?

Seen 3 reviews now of the album and every one of them are incredibly positive. It's a long time since I saw Quo given such glowing write ups.

Someone posted one on Facebook (actually might have been 2 posted on Facebook). I knew I should've posted the link for the other one yesterday as can't find it now, but it was from a French site/magazine and gave it 4 out of 5. When I find it I will post the link.

There is a positive 9/10 review of the album in the current edition of the magazine, Powerplay, which is available from WH Smith, RS McColls. It also contains an interview with Francis.
What I would like to know though, and don’t understand why no review I’ve read so far tackles this issue. Does Francis sing lead vocals on every song? Obviously previously Rick would traditionally sing a few songs on an album, Thirsty Work accepted, where he only managed one. So I figured this might be a big deal to reviewers, is this the first album Francis sings all the songs, or have they let Richie take up the mic for a tune, or are Rhino or Andy contributing lead vocals?

He did all the vocals on Never Too Late apart from where Rick sings on SBYBIL

A review from jpc:
Back to form Brilliant masterpiece from Status Quo ! Was able to listen to the album as a promo and all I can say is, it's the best Quo album since NTL. An absolute must buy. One rocking track after the other with a powerful production from Francis himself. 5/5

Best thing for me is knowing Quo are going to be helping my recovery from shoulder surgery which I am having on the 4th. My better half is working away from home the first few days after it so I need something to cheer me up and in the absence of a "temporary friend"

Thanks for this Cammy. I never know what to make of reviews as it is merely one person's opinion, and I don't know what he thinks of any other Quo albums! But at least it's a very positive one....keeps my optimism up!
