Hmm article today says that Lyndsay would not let them have his guitar. So that's why a replica was used at his funeral. RICK Parfitt’s widow took his beloved guitar away days before his funeral, meaning a replica had to be knocked up as a centrepiece, it is claimed. The Status Quo legend had wanted the custom-made white Fender Telecaster to take pride of place at the service. A friend said “Lyndsay pushed for his memorial to take place in Spain but everyone told her where to go." “Taking the guitar was the last straw, although she insists the situation was a misunderstanding.” www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/2782597/rick-parfitts-dying-wish-almost-wrecked-after-widow-he-wrote-out-of-will-took-his-treasured-axe-and-a-replica-had-to-made-for-funeral/Now as we know she said the executors asked for a guitar she did not say she had given it to them. If she has got it and then auctions it. There will be some Quo fans who will be very angry. Of course it could all be a misunderstanding and the papers have exaggerated everything would not be the first time. However it was obvious that it was a replica at his funeral. If this article is true, then I'm inclined to believe that there has been a misunderstanding in that she took the guitar thinking it was hers, however, if its true that she refused to allow them to have the guitar for Rick's funeral, then that disgusts me totally, IF its true. Regarding her wanting Rick's funeral to take place in Spain, I think she was wrong in wanting that & I'm glad to see that obvious family pressure made sure that never happened. Rick was laid to rest in his home town, which, for me is totally correct & apt. I'm wondering if to rightly assume that this is the guitar the executors demanded back off her, if she was to sell it, then I feel that all hell would (rightfully) break out within the Parfitt family. It depends on what his will says I suppose. If it cuts her out and names the 4 children if she was to sell it. RPJ and Harry would be intitled to half. I wonder if everything is rosy between them and her. Marietta said that RPJ and Harry are close and they adore the twins. However some of Lyndays comments about "whatever my stepsons think of me", Show there must be some tension there.

Yeah of course it does depend on the contents of his will, but does she have the right to sell it ? I tend to agree with you regarding possible friction between her & his elder kids. What also surprises me is that Patty, has said nothing,, yet! True and we don't know who the executors of his will are. They are normally your children as long as they are over 18, I notice that Lyndsay said that they asked for "A Guitar" implying any old one. Not the one he was most famous for. Which she would have known how famous it is.
