1982 NEC, the night before the Charlie gig so I could watch that on telly. Was gutted than John had left by then so didn't see the frantic four until the reunion.

Cardiff Castle 76. With friends I had met in Holiday. Didn’t really know much about Quo apart from seeing them on TOTP. One of the guys was a Quo nut and insisted I travelled 200 miles to join him for the day. Hooked from then on !

Manchester G-Mex 1989. Perfect Remedy tour! The gig was better than the album!

I think they played Reading Festival but that was about it. Maybe one or two one-offs like Wembley; not sure.

Can't remember when they changed the schedule ..

They did it every year after that until 2017. Although a few were cut short due to illness. It's interesting that, since they've cut back on that winter schedule, the general health of the, eh, elderly members of the band has picked up. Justification in itself for changing things

December 1992 at the SECC in Glasgow on the Live Alive Quo tour, not only my first Quo gig, but my first ever gig. Wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, was a big fan of the band, but had no idea whether seeing a band live was that much better than listening to their music at home. Turned out it was, lots better, and I spent the whole gig down the front jumping in unison with the rest of people around me as we were crushed together.

Glasgow Apollo 1974. Had been a fan for a year or so. Just an amazing performance and occasion. My legs were stained blue due to wearing brand new jeans that night. The sweat was running down the walls (seriously).

Cardiff Ice Rink Live Alive Quo Tour 1992, but technically it was Butlins, Minehead, the 25th anniversary 1990, but we couldn't get tickets so weI ended up watching it live in the bar downstairs on a massive screen

Believe it or not I didn’t see them until the 2012 winter tour at the nec when Eddie and the hot rods and Bonnie Tyler supported.
Matt Letleys last gig I think.
Had a chance to see them with a mate and his dad at Bingley Hall if I remember rightly around 1979 but as i was only 10 my mom said no.
Lost interest in the band after 1982 until i dl QPQ off iTunes and been hooked again ever since.

Obviously I didn't see the Frantic Four first time around (to compare it to) but I thought it was brilliant!

I thought I’d damaged my hearing for life 👍 It wasn't my ears ringing - it actually was complete deafness ! And I wasn't even worried about it back then. I remember walking into the living room back home, my parents were still up, and I saw their mouths moving, but didn't hear a word. Back then I found it fascinating - the light-heartedness of youth. I'd be worried stiff if it happened today ..

June 1979. Sheffield city hall. Hot, sweaty and very, very loud !! And like many, I was hooked.. 😉 One thing sticks out in my mind about that 79 Tour. I was shocked to see the Backline had been changed to rows of AC30’s. The sound was so different compared to previous gigs. As per Live album. Way more trebly sounding with the Ac30’s. I remember Francis asking the audience if it was loud enough as people had complained at previous gigs about the sound. Always stuck in my mind that. Was plenty loud enough for me still !
