I am working from home at the moment so I’ve had Quid Pro Quo on today, it’s an album I like but there are a few nothing tracks on there for me.
I thought one of them was Leave a Little Light On, so I nearly skipped it at the intro, but the more I listened to it, the more I actually liked it. But I don’t know why.😆
Anyone else either like this track, or have the same feelings for other tracks ?

I don't think I've ever made a secret out of liking "Leave a Little Light On", it's one of Rick's best late period songs if you ask me. Should have been a single.
From the same album however, I have a conflicted relationship with a few songs. One of Rick's other co-writes, "Can't See For Looking", is one of them. On one hand it feels like going through the motions, but on the other it's lively. It's worn out but charming. Weird.

Must have missed this thread before. I disliked Gone Thru The Slips when I first heard it - and for years afterwards. But now, I rather like it. And I have no idea why that should be The song hasn't changed, so I must have. It has all the elements that I tend not to like. A fairly mundane melody and squeaky little keyboards here and there. And yet.... Beats me.

I am working from home at the moment so I’ve had Quid Pro Quo on today, it’s an album I like but there are a few nothing tracks on there for me. I think it's a great album, but I agree there are a few not-so-good tracks - Any Way You Like It, It's All About You, My Old Ways. In the Army Now... don't go there - they should have left it alone. I thought one of them was Leave a Little Light On, so I nearly skipped it at the intro... You WHAT? How COULD you? Quid Pro Quo is my favourite Quo album, and I was disappointed Frozen Hero wasn't a single. It has a lot of good rocking tracks, not least Leave a Little Light On and not too many fillers. Reality Cheque is another Belavista Woman, but it still works for me. Two Way Traffic is a simple song by Rhino's Revenge Rhino, Dust to Gold has a starnge, almost haunting intro, but gets going - another one with Rhino's input. I always kept it in the car CD player - on hand in case radio had nothing I could endure.

Quid Pro Quo is my favourite Quo album Really? Or maybe a word lost there? I know "It's All About You" often gets singled out as a weaker track, but I love it - Bob's harmonica already is almost enough to guarantee a classic, and I love the chord changes in that one. Not to mention how Francis launches into the solo! "My Old Ways" feels like a lesser continuation of it, though.

Opinions, like most albums, differ when it comes to Quid Pro Quo.
I think most would agree it's a very good album and livelier than we were maybe entitled to expect. Several tracks have real power, particularly Two Way Traffic.
I have to confess, I'm a big fan of Any Way You Like It but it does seem to split opinions. I love the whole song and especially the Hammond organ during the outro. Same sort of tempo and feel as maybe The Bubble, which I also like.
The album itself is far too long but you can't blame Quo for that. It is (or was) the world at the time. Squeeze as many onto a CD as you can. Because the day of the single B-side is behind us.

QPQ is a great album. Movin on should have been the first single for me.
