We also know that Rossi is saying that summer festival dates are the way to go to reduce the cost for the band, and he’s also said he’s not keen on releasing any new material due to the lack of revenue it creates. Let’s hope he does his usual thing and goes back on what he says, winter tour perhaps ?? 🙂

I don't know what the 'decades' event is in London. But it isn't a bad title for a tour. You know they're always thinking of marketing. Top of the agenda for the decision makers. Or at least, that's the impression given. Francis is falling back on his solo tours and books etc at the moment, but that won't last forever I wouldn't have thought. There are rumours - unsubstantiated I have to say - of a sort of talk/music tour with Noddy Holder. Interesting concept that; a talk tour with TWO acts! Has that ever been done before? The fans, of course, want the one thing it looks like we won't get; new material. Well, some fans. Many are content with the greatest hits on an annual basis and I appreciate that. But it's the one thing that's kept me going for quite a few years now. The thought that there is likely to be a new album just around the corner. If all I'm being offered is the annual hits package more or less in the same order as they have been for a long time, then I'm probably done. I hate saying that. It's been my entire adult life and a few years more. But maybe that's the point. A natural end. I can then retire from it all happily in the knowledge that I've seen it all and done it all. And bought the t-shirt of course We shall see.

Don't really understand Francis' statement about new music not making money yet he's seemingly happy to talk about another country album with LR. You'd have thought the creative juices would still be flowing with Richie & Leon. Thought Richie's two tracks on the BB recordings were a breath of fresh air Quowise. Maybe we'll get a surprise at some point. 😕

I totally hear what you are saying although the tours last year were good because of the four tracks from backbone on the first tour and then a good mix of old and new tunes packed into a 2 hour set for the Xmas tour. Let’s hope they continue that way, I do wonder what part Richie play in the set list, perhaps suggesting old long forgotten gems. Regarding the Rossi / Holder Tunes and Chat tour, I follow Susan Holder (Noddys Partner) on twitter and I asked if it were true, but she didn’t answer at all, so I’m wondering if she has to stay tight lipped until it’s been announced. The other alternative is that it’s complete b@@@@cks and she’s giving it a damn good ignoring. 😆

Maybe we'll get a surprise at some point. 😕 That's always been my counter argument. It suggests he gets no pleasure out of recording with Quo anymore. Maybe that's not correct. Maybe it's just so much more expensive to compose and produce a Quo album. But it's how it comes across without any further explanation.

I just want a good old rocking gig with all the faves played…I feel a new person after a good Quo gig, I know some folk like to hear new stuff but I am getting on and the memories from old stuff give me a buzz…a buzz that at the moment is missing from my life 😜🤣😉
