I've banged on about this band for years but their time in the spotlight was short so they're often forgotten. And there's not much proper live footage of them at their peak. Much like Quo actually. But I stumbled across this on YouTube and I think it's the best piece of film of the band I've ever seen. It captures Alex perfectly in front of a bemused Norwegian festival crowd I wonder if their entire set was filmed? If so, it really needs to be put out there. Even if just for me

I never got to see them when Alex was alive but did when they got back together with Max singing. While he wasn't Alex he was the gigs were still amazing. Faith Healer is truly one of the greatest songs ever.

Faith Healer is truly one of the greatest songs ever. Faith Healer is one of those that now sounds years ahead of it's time. Certainly the opening bars. Pink Floyd have received a great deal of credit for almost pre-empting electronic/ambient music with some effects on the track, On The Run, from Dark Side of the Moon but Faith Healer was at least a full year before. I only ever saw SAHB 3 times. All between 1975 and 1976 (although I also saw them without Alex in 1977 promoting the Fourplay album). But they certainly left a lasting impression!
