Yes, i know , but…. now , he’s 81 & an absolute legend since i was a kid. probably remember “ the green green grass of home “ earliest. thing is, i saw him in glasgow on sunday , 3rd time i’ve seen him, & he played probably 6 or 7 from his new album. i have to say, its a great album & shows how he stays in touch with modern music. techniques if not new songs. if you haven’t seen him & still can… GO … nobody & i mean , nobody , sounds that good at 81 ! It IS unusual !!

Always liked Tom Jones. Well, certainly since the late 80's and his collaboration with Art of Noise. I love his Reload album as well and have kept an eye on his releases since. Grabbed the Praise And Blame a few years back as well and it's excellent. I can't remember but I think Jeff Beck plays on that; a bit of a hero of mine I'll not say a bad word against Sir Thomas. Mrs Mortified wanted to see him at Edinburgh Castle but I couldn't get tickets. I'm not even sure it went ahead last summer. But he is a legend. Made his fortune pi$$ing about in America/Las Vegas and came back to the UK to make the music he probably wanted to. But that's just a guess and reading between the lines. I may be completely wrong. The epitome of cool

He’s certainly earned his place in musical history and as you say, his voice is still up there.
He did a track a few years ago call Burn in Hell and it’s absolutely killer.
I’m not his biggest fan, but I do like some of his stuff. Glad u enjoyed him.👍

And call me an old crooner but I have always loved Delilah. Since I saw The Sensational Alex Harvey Band perform it back in the mid-70's, it has always made me chuckle. And the Welsh rugby crowd sing it with gusto. His singing voice at 81 is nothing short of a miracle.
