This song is also on a bootleg from 2003 called Give Us Some Riffs. Recorded in Guildford I think.

Personally, I thought they should have stuck with it. It had gone from the set by the time I saw them that year. Francis didn't like playing the solo (apparently) so they just dropped the whole thing. Which is a shame really because it drives along nicely. I see he doesn't play the solo here at all. I think it works even without it.

That's great. Shame Francis doesn't attempt a version of the solo. Given that he gets criticised already for bending notes I'm sure he could've done something like that. It reminds me how good Matt was! {Note: no sleight on Lean - I've never seen him!}
