Hi all, My best venue has to be The Hammersmith Odeon. The worst without a shadow of a doubt has to be The Towers in Braintree, Essex.

The best - Glasgow Apollo without a doubt. Followed by Guildford and Reading Hexagon.
Worst - haven't really seen them in a bad venue.

Glasgow Apollo, for me, is probably the best I've seen them at.
The worst is Harrogate International Centre. Lovely town; shocking place to have a gig. Zero atmosphere.

Hammersmith, Bournemouth and Leicester de Montfort have been great venues.
Saw them at a venue in Peterborough (Mallard Park ??)around the PR album and it was pretty crap, mainly because it was all on 1 level and it was difficult to see the stage in some positions.

Best by far in my opinion....Hammersmith Odeon. Southampton Gaumont was a good venue As for the worst, I have to agree with Craydarr with the Mallard Park Centre in Peterborough. It was like a wearhouse on an industrial estate and by coincidence the gig was 31 years ago tomorrow 4th December 1989 Another venue I wasn't impressed with is Wembley Arena.

I only went the once and decided never to go back. Not the best atmosphere and VERY heavy handed security. Bearing in mind the average age of the crowd was about 50

Best has to be Hammersmith. Two other fantastic venues are Falkonerteatret and KB Hallen in Copenhagen (KB sadly lost in fire a few years ago) Worst: i haven’t seen Quo in any really bad place, but outdoor gigs tends to have lesser atmosphere so to say. The gig at Varbergs Fästning was partly lost in the wind and a gig at Trädgårdsföreningen in Gothenburg felt rather dull and lame compared to most of the others I’ve seen

I’ve never seen them at the Gaumont, bet they were great as it’s a nice old theatre.

Brid Spa for me. Closely followed by Sheffield City Hall. Worst.. Wembley Arena. I'm not a fan of open air gigs either.. only been to two. Both poor..🙄😟

Worst: Rosenheim 2007, most awful acoustic, as far as I remember it was kind of a gym. Best: all others

Brid Spa can’t think of worst unless I include sitting in glorious sunshine watching soundchecks nipping back to hotel to change returning to castle to be turned away saying gig cancelled! Sitting around outside with hundreds of fans in near silence like we were at a funeral....were you there...I don’t need to say venue.....horrendous

Glasgow Apollo was massive and epic for anyone lucky enough to experience it. I saw the other version around 2005 at Wembley Arena and the FF at this venue in 2013. Got to be the worst venue ever, not just for Quo, I found this having seen other bands here. It needs to be demolished, it is no longer suitable for such purpose, if indeed it ever was.

Quo: Best: Hammersmith Odeon Worst: not sure if any have been so bad.
Non-Quo: Best: Hammersmith Odeon Worst: Emirates Stadium (Arsenal FC). I got to "see" Bruce Springsteen there in 2008. The trouble with the Emirates Stadium is that it was hard to see the stage (which was at one end of the pitch) if you were high up. Also, the local authority (London Borough of Brent, I think) imposed sound volume restrictions on the show, so it was very hard to hear anything (or was that because I didn't have hearing aids then!) Great view of St. Paul's Cathedral, for what it was worth.

Best: Grugahalle in Essen on the Ain't Complaining tour. Great sound and a great atmosphere. Worst (by far): the Oasis Swindon on the Good to Tour tour. The sound here was shockingly bad. FR commented on it in his first spiel. So bad that Carol Decker; supporting with the new T'Pau; nearly lost her place on Heart and Soul cos of the echo.

So for me, every winter tour from '92 to '98 were probably my best Quo gigs as it was such a release down the front and I'd come out covered in sweat and exhausted having had a great time. Then in 1999 they moved next door to the Armadillo, in what, granted is probably a better sounding venue. But it was all seated, and I just remember how deflated I was after seeing them there. Hemmed in by seats, crush at the front gone (unless you were lucky enough to be in the first few rows and could go and stand by the stage, but even then it was nowhere near the same) the atmosphere just wasn't the same. The band looked like they were having a great time on stage where they could run around, but I felt completely stuck and unable to fully enjoy the gig. Such that I gave the following years tour a miss as I couldn't face going back to that venue. Those SECC gigs were great so it was really frustrating when they returned and the seats were on the floor. Likewise at the Hydro

Hold You Back second in the set list meant carnage down the front in Glasgow !!! I remember Francis asking everyone to take a step back. It’s crazy that’s almost thirty years ago now !!!

Yeah, for some reason '92 was a bit nuts. I say for some reason because the album they were promoting was a bit of a let down ( Live Alive Quo). But the opening 5 numbers were Caroline, Hold You Back, Paper Plane, One Man Band and the Mystery Song Medley! By which time, me and sis needed an iron lung
