Mrs Mortified has the DVD. I got it for her Christmas one year. She went to school with Michael Hutchence, so has always been a fan for that reason. In fact, coincidentally, we've just watched the documentary film Mystify at the weekend there. Which I personally found fascinating. Highly recommended. I never saw INXS live but, like just about everybody else on the planet, the Kick album is in my collection. They look like they put on a great show.

I recorded Miystify the same night but haven’t watched it yet. Is it just about Michael then, or INXS ?

I recorded Miystify the same night but haven’t watched it yet. Is it just about Michael then, or INXS ? It's largely about Michael. There are contributions from the band and also a whole load of people including ex's like Kylie and Helena Christensen. But it's just their voices. I wouldn't say it's the story of INXS as such; more the life story of Michael Hutchence but taking in the success of INXS. There is some great concert footage. His demise from 1992 is very very interesting and I found out a few things I had no idea about, especially his personality change and why it happened.

He was punched by a taxi driver in Copenhagen because he was larking about in the road and fell and banged his head off the pavement. He was taken to hospital bleeding from his nose and ears but discharged himself after becoming very aggressive, presumably due to concussion. He was a very gentle, non-confrontational character before that. His post-mortem years later after his suicide revealed frontal lobe brain damage. This was also detected in the hospital when he was admitted after the punch but they never followed it up. Effectively, they think he developed some sort of bi-polar syndrome. He became unpredictable in the studio and in his relationships. Really sad.
