Getting closer to these gigs and no mention of cancelling....what do you think..they can’t social distance as if sold out of these smaller venues they cannot create space that isn’t there....my sons machine head gig at Birmingham late November has been cancelled....

Nothing has officially been cancelled but I can't see any way in which these gigs can go ahead. You're right; social distancing is out if they've sold a lot of tickets. And the word is they have. Plus, we're continually being told that venues won't open until 2021 anyway.
I dare say they're negotiating behind the scenes with venues, ticket agencies, insurance companies, promoters and all sorts. Anyone who has their finger in the pie. There will also have to be talk of refunds because people's enthusiasm for going to a busy theatre is bound to have waned after all this even if they do play.

Looked on ticket master to see if gigs sold out...search status Quo and comes up with no events available....is that a clue to cancellation announcement I wonder

There we go...cancelled backbone tour..no re schedule so fans can get refunds easier...just popped up on news feed
