Early 90's CDs

Hey everyone!

Does anyone have the Piledriver and/or On The Level CDs from 1990/1991?

I'm also looking for the 1990 Down Down CD single.

They are both great albums! I'm always looking for the best sounding versions of these.

If you’re looking for the best sounding versions: avoid OTL from the early nineties, it has very flat and muffled sound.

Yeah, I think that too. But that only applies to the 1991 release.
There's an OTL CD release from 1990 that is quite different. At first, I didn't think it sounded very good, because my ear was more used to the 1991 version (I had a couple of tracks from it). But I came to find it does sound better. Brighter, more balanced and the guitars have a very nice crunchy and sparkly sound. Very live, but could sound a bit too bright here and there, for those who prefer darker mixes, like me. The Japanese remaster is similar to this 1990 version, just a bit less bright and with a bit more body.
In any case, any of these versions is better than the 2005 remaster and the 2016 Deluxe.
