So do I ! There's actually merely three songs on HT that I really can't stand: Creepin' Up On You, Do It Again and Another Day.

Let's not get into a discussion about Heavy Traffic. We'll only fall out Great track Rhythm Of Life though. Quite a departure for Quo at the time. In the same way that I thought No Contract was, only better.

I really like Rhythm of Life. Great song. It's not typical Quo, but I like it when they have these deviations. And it still has the Quo stamp, I'd say, nevertheless.

Would anyone say there were any similarities between ROL and You'll Come Round which was released 2 years later?
And I don't mean in terms of copying, same song etc. More that they might both be a deviation from Quo's usual style, but in the same direction.

You'd never get the two mixed up but there's a similarity of tempo running through both. Both Rossi/Young compositions as well if I remember rightly.

Yes I think you're right in them both being Rossi/Young songs. ROL definitely is. And I agree with your comments about tempo whilst not ever getting them mixed up. You've summed up what I meant really.

You'll Come Round, in terms of style, is really far from classic Quo. From what I've seen, they weren't very fond of the song, Rossi aside. But it's a very up to date song (from the time) and a good radio tune, I guess.

Maybe it's that twin guitar sound andFrancis' voice. I really like the sound of YCR more than the Heavy Traffic album in general. Who produced YCR and Thinking of You?

Yeah I wish they would do more like this and also You Let Me Down which should have at least been on an album not hidden away as a b-side.

Love everything about this song.
Sure I read somewhere that Francis tried to get this one taken off the album?

Love everything about this song. Sure I read somewhere that Francis tried to get this one taken off the album? I don't know if he tried to have it excluded but I remember him saying (possibly in FTMO) that he was unhappy with the guitar solo. He said he got it all wrong and that it didn't fit. I know what he means. It does change the feel of the song a bit but it certainly doesn't spoil it.
