Apologies if this is not the place to post this kind of thread but please feel free to move it: Up for auction: one Cherry Red 1973 Gibson ES-335 TD as owned by Francis Rossi OBE since new. The guitar has been used on numerous Quo records through the years - most notably on 1976's "Blue For You" album. Signed certification of authenticity is available upon request. This 335 is in excellent condition! Francis Rossi's Cherry Red 1973 Gibson ES-335 AUCTION LINK

Why is it being sold on eBay? Francis sold his green Tele through an auction house.

Selling through a professional auction house gives the sale some credibility. Selling on eBay looks like someone broke in to his house.

Selling on eBay looks like someone broke in to his house. the commission would be sky high though. a friend of mine sold something at one of the London auction houses and it went for £900. she got £600.
