I am a bit confused as to what to do regarding the UK tour. When it was announced I was going to London and Bournemouth, so I held off getting tix thinking both gigs would be standing. Now not standing it has put me off a bit so I don’t know what to do ?

When you buy at Bournemouth it states
“ Status Quo
Please note that some patrons may stand at seated concerts”
so I guess on that basis if one if the cardigan brigade moan about you standing you can refer them and security to the sales clause😀

I very rarely post on here (or the "other" board) but I feel moved to post on this topic, just to give a different view.
Please note however that I'm not in anyway "having a go" at anyone who has posted on this thread.
Many years ago I travelled with my parents to see Quo at the Brighton Centre.
As we had done on many previous occasions (at the Bournemouth International Centre and the Portsmouth Guildhall) we deliberately booked seats on the terrace, as my late mother was not able to stand for the entire concert due to her health issues (diabetes had led to her suffering muscle loss in her legs).
Moments after the concert started all the rows in front of us decided to stand (and remain standing for the entire concert).
Unfortunately Mum spent most of the concert trying to get glimpses of the band inbetween the standing crowd.
We had deliberately booked seats in the terrace to avoid this happening (this was back in the day when the main floor was all standing).
I guess what I'm saying (in the nicest possible way, and not having a go) is some people have no choice but to sit.
(The ideal solution to me is to have a mix, areas where people sit and areas where people stand)

It is a difficult one and although some of us go ape$hit nuts at a Quo gig (resulting in overnight seizures later on ), there are those who just simply can't. I've seen the band over 5 decades but I wonder how many times I've actually ' seen' them There should be accommodation for everyone. There are usually disabled areas in arenas but less of them in theatres. A section for those who wish to - or have to - sit throughout should be mandatory. But tickets are so spread out over so many different agencies, keeping control must be almost impossible.

It usually works in Germany. With basically all gigs standing only those choose the seats (at the back or at the sides), who actually intend to remain seated for whichever reasons. And with the venue layouts usually steep enough all seats tend to offer a very good view. That's how it was too at our most recent gig in Ludwigsburg.

Totally understand the views of those less mobile or unable to stand for long and the issues of people standing in front of their view line to stage. Generally, for me though, it is much nicer to have the freedom to move around a bit and pick your spot so to speak. The trouble with an allocated seat even if standing, is you are stuck there in front of the serial farter (usually a big bloke who has had too many beers) or there are folk around you not getting the vibe. Normally, where there are no seats you can adjust a little bit to avoid the aforementioned problems.
Just a thought. Peace and love to all.

Just come over for a gig ! You'll get standing, a Quo audience and a tight band (with a new set !) on top of it. Try it out !
