I’m not keen on Birmingham Symphony Hall as a venue but I will be there. 😞😞😫how come...minute sales open I am booking and ALL good seats sold out? Sitting in the grand tier does not appeal....FED UP. Definitely does not sum up how I feel This morning was a pre-sale of limited tickets to members of FTMO, the general sale goes live from Friday 20th September.

I thought we might see a Zurich Hallenstadion in there but it's early days yet I suppose. It's also an even number. They only play there on odd years Apart from 2016 and 2018!! I’m expecting it to be announced for 2020!!

So does that mean that there might still be some decent seats on general sale on Friday? It's always the same, we've had this topic about pre-sale seats for what feels like decades - nearly every time a pre-sale existed. Yvonne and her team do the best to arrange this option for fan club members, but they depend on what the venues offer. And IMVHO the line of thinking many venues have is 'it's fan club members, they will buy tickets in any case, so we can offer them seats further back. Let's keep the really good ones, so we can tempt those, who might not go otherwise, into buying'. That's why they won't put up all good seats at the start of the general sale either. They're intended to swing the mood of the undecided, in case venues don't sell out quickly. Fans are taken for granted ..

Whatever the reason, it never seems justified to me. But then I believe in fairness so that makes me naïve and, at the end of the day, inconsequential. I'm more inclined to think that some ticket agencies keep back the very good seats to get them on to 'sister' sites where they can go for a much higher price. But it isn't across the board. Depending on the venue for some reason you can get front row through the FTMO pre-sale but with others you get shunted further back. This tour is no different as I found out yesterday.

Got my tickets for Bournemouth on the Bournemouth BIC own site pre pre sale. Unfortunately it’s not standing this time in the stalls area but still got front row opposite Richie
If anyone is going to Bournemouth and wants to buy today just use the code BACKBONE to gain early access on the BH Live site. The venues site is a genuine pre sale unlike Tickemaster who rush you into buying rubbish tickets the day before

Unfortunately not, as it’s all seated this time. The standing always made for a cracking atmosphere at the BIC. If I hadn’t got front row I probably wouldn’t have bothered

Got a ticket for Birmingham, stalls row V so not exactly close.
Much prefer Wolverhampton Civic Hall where you can get close and stand.
Ok boys we’ve bought the tickets now you have 15 months to shake up the set list and give us what we want.

It was a bit of a mixed bag this week. FTMO pre-sales do tend to be through no fault of theirs. Agencies and promoters pi$$ing people about However, Glasgow was great; front row. Easy peasy. Cardiff less so. I was offered Rows L and V the other day and also upstairs so I took a chance and waited till the public sale this morning. It's all down to experience. And I managed to get Row E direct from the venue. But these gigs are a very long way off. I don't think I've ever had a gig ticket for anyone 15 months in advance!

same.... i think , for example, elton john went on sale for aberdeen ( & presumably elsewhere ) about 6 months ago for gigs also in nov 2020. for some reason i thought these quo gigs, being smaller venues, were for this year when they 1st popped up ! old folk , eh ...

Nice to see this euphoria again and everybody grabbing their tickets straight away. That's why the dates have been announced now, straight after the album release.

I see they've now added Zurich Hallenstadion to the itinerary next year. Always a consideration although it's a good few years since I've done that one.
