I have been saying about Liberty Lane becoming one of my favourite singles, what’s yours? No polls, no order and that’s mainly because I can’t put mine into an order.
Here’s Mine:
Wild Side Of Life Liberty Lane Ol Rag Blues And It’s Better Now Paper Plane

Wild Side Of Life was the song that made me take note of the band, so that'll always remain special for me. Otherwise for most of my Quo-fandom I didn't listen to charts and had no idea which songs were actually released as singles .. A choice of singles I knew about and love are Accident Prone Lies Rock'n'Roll You'll Come Round Rock'n'Roll'n'You There's more which I can't remember at the moment .. It's too early to judge/rank Liberty Lane, but right now I love it.

I think I'd have to separate pre 1985 and post 1985. The 'type' of song that Quo could release and gain airplay changed in my opinion. Post '85 Quo has almost 'had' to release more poppy songs.
So my top 5 (6) post '85 uk single releases in no particular order would be;
Rollin' Home Burning Bridges Little White Lies Jam Side Down Beginning of the End Liberty Lane
I would have included Two Way Traffic as well, but it was about the 4th track off QPQ which was chosen by Radio 2 and it didn't 'take off' like some of the others, it was almost an after thought (although you could say the same about LWL, but at least that was chosen for a physical release). I think these days Radio 2 would love Little White Lies....1999 was different days for Quo unfortunately!

See you’ve added Little White Lies in and I’ve forgotten about that.... bugger 🙂 Also, it’s cheating to split it into pre n post 85. You’re not allowed. 😁

"Singles" I suppose is now a relative term. Songs in advance of the album and available for download doesn't quite have that snappy ring to it But my top 5 are these - and very probably in order: Caroline (the 1973 version) In My Chair Paper Plane And It's Better Now ( Aquostic) Two Way TrafficMentioned in dispatches (very likely the next 5) - Down The Dustpipe, Pictures Of Matchstickmen ( the London Mix) , That's A Fact ( Aquostic II), You'll Come Round and Lies.

It's very hard to choose the best 5 singles, because if I list one single, it should mean it's better than all other non-listed singles, which is not necessarily true for all times.
But here are 5 singles I like a lot: Mystery Song Living On An Island Rollin' Home Sherri Don't Fail Me Now Two Way Traffic
I tried to spread them across the 50 years of hits. Again this doesn't mean I like Sherri more than I like Paper Plane, for instance.

Difficult to name a top 5 because it changes with my mood but Accident Prone would be right up there as it was the first single I ever bought.

Sorry but must be six, for me. Wild side of life Dear John Rolling Home In My Chair Paper Plane Jam Side Down. I really like Rollin' Home and JSD as well, although they'd not quite make my top 5 singles. They'd definitely make my top 3 videos though And I didn't vote for songs like PP or IMC as I'm simply too young to have experienced them as singles.

Oops yeah - Rollin' Home !!!!
And age has it's benefits - England world cup win, Man on the moon and the FF.
First single I bought was Down the Dustpipe. Still a favourite, but not quite in my top 5 or 6.

Still a favourite, but not quite in my top 5 or 6. Speak for yourself My first was In My Chair but I'd loved Down The Dustpipe before it. I was just a little young to just go and grab it. So mum had to step in when In My Chair came out How it all really started I suppose
