Great News, let hope that it doesn't tail off at the end of the week.

No2-3 is not bad at all ! Hope it'll stay there for more than one week though, to encourage the band to consider another album. First week it's the fans buying, more weeks mean the general public picks up on it too ..

I thought it would chart somewhere. Quo albums usually do. But it seems to be performing nicely. Incidentally, I was in Tesco yesterday and they have the CD on the shelf. But they also have a small vinyl section and there's a Quo compilation there called (surprisingly ) Rockin' All Over The World - The Collection with the FF on the front cover. All the usual stuff is on there. I don't think it's new. I just found it less than accidental that it suddenly appears the week that a new Quo album comes out

Shame it dropped off from its midweek position of 2. Decent though.

Considering it's their highest chart position for an originals album since 1982, I think that alone is an achievement in itself

Great it's #6, but shame it wasn't able to cling on to the #2 spot. Oh well, we always want max. for the band. Btw. I've just found out: They seem to have entered the German charts at #6 as well. Impressive !

Maybe I should've added that #6 in the UK might be very good, but still relatively normal, whereas #6 in Germany is outstanding. Can't remember any Quo album having charted anywhere near that for ages, if ever. The only one I can actually think of which beat that, was RAOTW with #5. That's from (my fading) memory though and might even be wrong.
Was there any heavy promo going on which I didn't notice ?

It’s actually no1 in the Scottish album charts. That's down to Billy buying all these different versions ..

It’s actually no1 in the Scottish album charts. I didn't even know we had a chart! Well, not since the days of Lena Martell and Lena Zavaroni

More like a hunger for new Quo material after such a long wait... then again, edel records is a German label. SWR1 reviewed the album shortly, but they seemed to do as little as possible about it, HR1 were a bit more generous (also with Francis showing up at the station and all).
