As there are loads of different formats, do they all count towards a chart position?

They all count.
I think that is one of the reasons that Rick's album charted so highly, the fact that there was two different mixes.

It's presumably why different formats are released in the first place; basically, to sell more. Otherwise I'm not sure music companies would take the trouble.

With the new album it looks like many have ordered a CD plus a vinyl version, so these will obviously both count as well. mortified - shouldn't you be getting all versions, for the sake of your collection ?

I wasn’t sure with things like T Shirts being involved as well because at one time things like that were discounted in chart sales.

True; I remember that Marillion had two albums that weren't allowed to chart even though they sold well. Why? Because they contained stickers!
Although with box sets these days, I think this rule must surely be obsolete?
