Yep, agree about both, although the rest isn't much worse. Tallulah would probably come in third place .. Just a shame they didn't play Here I Go during the second solo tour anymore. Let's continue this thread - best two songs from the KOTD album for me are My favourites from WTTM currently are these two (although at the moment I love nearly all and it's still changing from day to day): Obviously this morning I was in the mood for upbeat tunes . I actually think Maybe Tomorrow would make a great Quo song.

I know I've taken the cowardly way out judging every album separately .. They're extremely different to compare though and the most current one is the one I listen to at the moment naturally. At the time though - or for years rather - I used to watch the St. Lukes vid and listen to the recording. It's actually one of my most watched music videos. The studio album wasn't touched anymore once I had the live recording actually, a rare thing with me, but it happened again with A1 and the Roundhouse. I see it's maybe the same for you, craydarr , as you've chosen live vids of both songs. I suppose only time will tell if the R/R will stand up to these. They should've done a short tour and filmed one of the gigs too IMO. Francis is indeed talking too much, at least next spring, instead of touring the album .. .

Given he's now recorded 3 solo albums, not a bad thread to have. These two for me. I could only track down the live versions on U-Choob but they'll do I just love this version of Caroline which we first had a taste of with Bob Young's CD release of In Quo Country. It's rather smashing. 3 lead guitarists; what's not to like? Wish Freddie would make a solo album and let rip. What a talented lad

That's something I really enjoyed about the solo gigs as well - the three guitarists and how they worked together. That Francis was able to give up some of the lead work to be able to concentrate on the singing and his ego didn't get in the way. Although he did notice every tiny mistake made by the others, fills left out and suchlike stuff, I did read in an interview after the tour . Must've been a great experience for both Nick and Freddy, albeit for different reasons .. . I think it's the correct choice that Freddy puts his studies and job first and considers his band a hobby merely. Sadly talent is not enough to make a living from music these days, mainly you need a lot of luck and first and foremost have to be marketable for looks, lifestyle and whatever else that's got nothing to do with music. Generation x-factor ..

Blue Water from his first album and Sleeping on the job from his last! Blue Water is different, but I love it! SOTJ is Quo lite but I love it too.
Can't wait for his next solo album which seems to have been finished about 3 or 4 years ago but not released. I know there have been other things going on but what are they waiting for!?!

Blue Water is one of only about 4 tracks that I like on King Of The Doghouse.
