youtu.be/lVU88Gt_sQMWas just messing about on YouTube tonight and came across this. Remember the bit in the film where Francis and Rick are meant to be hiding and they're sat outside at the hotel playing an acoustic instrumental version of Down Down....well this is the full version of it! Don't know about you but I've not heard it before. I don't mind Aquostic but I can't listen to Down Down! Partly because I don't want it to spoil the original for me, and partly because I find it poxy. But I love this! If this had been the Aquostic version (with lyrics) I might have been able to listen to it! What do you think of it? Have you heard it before? And why was it not on the 2nd cd on the Bula Quo album! Just listened to it again, I love it!

That's alright that. "The Fijian Version" apparently. Can't think why it wasn't on the 'soundtrack'. I'll convert that to mp3 methinks. Ta for sharing Watching the images of the movie made me wince a bit though

Didn't remember it (or how the film went, which tunes were included in which scene, basically everything apart from CD1 .. ) so had no idea whether it was included on CD2 or not. Not sure I listened to that CD even once. One of these 'bonus' CDs that are completely superfluous and definitely don't constitute additional VFM ! Not sure about the exact timing, but maybe the reason it wasn't included was they already had the acoustic stuff in mind or at least the Coles ads and wanted it to be new and fresh then ?

Maybe none of Quo are actually playing on it?
Or they wanted songs with vocal performances only on the album and this instrumental was considered a bit throwaway.

The instrumental bit is probably a valid reason. Quo have done the very occasional instrumental tune, but many wouldn't even have recognised it was Down Down. If I had to guess I'd say that at least Rick is playing on it. He used to love his ukulele .
