I picked at it all weekend. Lots of stuff I had no time for - there always is - but unquestionable highlights for me were Sheryl Crow, The Cure and a young lady who is pretty special and heading for mega stardom I think - Billie Eilish. Very unusual. Really enjoyed her set.
The Proclaimers were on but I missed them. Maybe I should fiddle about for the red button. Bound to be self-congratulatory BBC highlights for a while.

Took a bit of Kylie in, so I can adapt myself to seeing her soon in Scarborough. I told the wife I will be in the bar when it's finished

Watched Babymetal's set (sky on demand is a great tool to miss all the crap). I like them. Metal should have a fun side.
Tried to watch Stormzy, but really what's it all about? A guy talking over backing tracks is a Glasto headliner... Can't get my head round that. Just plain boring.

Stormzy's the darling of the biz at the moment; no question about that. Not really my thing. Grime feels as distant and detached to me as Estonian folk music. I just can't seem to relate to it's inner city sentiments. I guess that makes me completely out of touch. Fair enough. I can take it To be fair to Glastonbury, they do have an enormous cross-section of acts appearing over 3 days. You're just as likely to get Dolly Parton or Tony Bennett as you are Foo Fighters or Mark Ronson. Or Quo. Very little metal as a rule but Motörhead did play there about 3 years ago. I used to like it when John Peel or Mark Radcliffe presented on BBC. They were less up their own ar$es and quite humorous.
