I assume a week before the Hyde Park 80s-90s Day, Party In The Park, 'Liberty Lane' will be the Radio 2 record of the week.

Yep, that would be the usual strategy with more to follow - the way they did with QPQ. The partnership with BBC2 seems to still be in place, which surely is their best marketing tool these days.

..not really but Radio Bayern1 comes close with Thomas Gottschalk and Fritz Egner. Also WDR4 is Quo friendly and the Rockstation RockAntenne!

SWR1 had a pretty good deal with the 2nd Aquostic gig and heavily promoting the album, but then they didn't allow the band to play encores!

Is there an equivalent in Germany? See answers above ^^, but generally speaking - Germany is a federal country and the broadcasters mentioned are state broadcasters (more or less, i.e. SWR is a fusion of two former state broadcasters, SWF and SDR), None of these reaches far beyond the state it is meant to cover. On the telly the 16 states have a joint venture so to speak, the first programme, ARD. It's more that single presenters or DJS are Quo fans, but not many of them left. The most popular, Thomas Gottschalk, retired a few years ago - you may remember his Majorca show with Quo. Mostly Quo are ignored by the broadcasters that reach wider parts of the population and they are more or less written out of rock history sadly.

I was actually surprised how well received the band were with the acoustic set. And yep, what a shame it was about the encore. Did mention it in my report too: link
Problem was that IMO the audience blamed it on the band not wanting to, while in reality it were the SWR guys.

Sis sent me a text yesterday to say " You do realise that Quo are in Glasgow tonight and we're not going? Changed days!" She's right of course. Not that very long ago we'd have been there. But a mixture of Ali's work commitments, the price of a ticket for (probably) a 1-hour support slot and the hassle of getting to and from Glasgow on the hideous M8 persuaded us to wait till some proper gigs come round. cammythemortonfan would likely have been there. Well, he's younger and still enthusiastic I wonder if Quo are featured in the Skynyrd tour programme? That might be worth looking into

Massive Wagons kicked things off at seven, with Quo on at 7.45. I’m really enjoying hearing the new songs in particular- Cut Me Some Slack has a natural home in the set - it feels like it’s been there forever . It’s slotted in so well.

I didn't know Massive Wagons were playing as well. They're good Cut Me Some Slack I suppose could permanently replace Creepin'. So we'll be sick of it soon enough
