That is rather splendid news For a start, it means there ARE new songs! This news has lifted my dwindling Quo spirits. It's what they did before the release of Heavy Traffic - and we know the impact that had Cheers, Camster

Enjoyed both very much. Crossing over Live they sound great. If this is the standard then think itās another QPQ vibe of an album. I just hope there are not too many sub standard Fillers to spoil the vibe. Letās hipe for quality rather than quantity.

Album is going to drop in September from what I've heard, hence the gig at Hyde Park as promotion for the album also... like what they did with Aqoustic 2.
Cut Me Some Slack reminds me of Solid Gold, which at the time people mentioned it sounding similar to ROLD.
I do prefer Liberty Lane however.
Cheers

If this is Quo going forward then I hope a lot of the doubters will shut up. Both songs rock and Cut Me Some Slack sounds very heavy indeed. Even from a mobile those songs sound like we want Quo to sound. Give me more now!!

Ooh, these videos have just gone viral. Well, they have in my house There is a Solid Gold feel to Cut Me Some Slack I guess but I, eh, ain't complaining. Coz I love that song and pretty much anything with that tempo/groove to it There's also more than a passing resemblance to Reality Cheque when the title is sung. Liberty Lane is also excellent. What a nice treat for a dull Tuesday afternoon

Have only heard each song once as yet, Liberty Lane immediately struck me as being my preferred choice. Both sound like decent tunes though, above all else it's great to see there's life in the band. Here's hoping for a winter tour of sorts and maybe some new songs will bring about the Holy Grail, a shake up of the set

Quo now officially confirmed for Hyde Park in September. Unfortunately, so are Simply Red and Clean Bandit but we mustn't be ungrateful www.statusquo.co.uk/Also in the blurb is that September is to be a "big" month for the band, which suggests (as Quoincidence revealed ) that the album will be out that month. I read on YouTube that it's to be called Liberty Lane. Let's party like it's 1999 2011

Enjoyed them both.
What struck me immediately was that there was no keyboards as Andy was out playing guitar on these tracks. Hopefully they stick to that on the recorded version of the songs.

Yeah, that struck me as well. I can see Cut Me Some Slack taking the place of Creepin', at least temporarily, although I've no idea where these songs came in the set. Very similar tempo.

Actually, there are keys on Liberty Lane. The band are playing to stage tracks on that whilst Andy is out front on guitar

They both sound pretty decent to be honest. Looking forward to hearing the album versions. Hope these are a good representation of the album as a whole, could be a cracker.
