As the album is liked by most, it shouldn't be too difficult to come up with 8 tracks for a vinyl version. So which 8 tracks would make it on your album and do you have any particular order ? As always you can list your A and B sides below if you want to.

That was easy. I'd have included Green had it been 9 or 10 votes, but it's the weakest of my bunch and Money Don't Matter just out of curiosity, as I've never heard the song. I'd not change the order either - Blues And Rhythm is a good opener and Rhythm Of Life is the perfect closer. Rhythm from start to end .. The choice of singles though, now that's a different matter: HT should've been first single ! Note to self: That's actually an idea for future polls - choice of singles ..

I find this one quite tricky because I really like about a dozen or so tracks. So don't read TOO much into one or two omissions. Heavy TrafficThe Oriental Creepin' Up On You Green
Another Day Diggin' Burt Bacharach Do It Again Solid Gold
I've based my choices on my early opinions rather than what I think of it now because we're probably all a bit fed up with those that are still a staple of the live set. I never take that into consideration.
I love the 'feel' of Blues And Rhythm; Rick's driving chords on this are superb throughout. What holds it back a little for me are Francis's guitar interruptions during the lengthy outro. They should have just left Rick to it in my view or have Francis play rhythm alongside giving it even greater power. It was probably a production/arrangement decision. It's a small observation but enough to have it excluded The middle section of this album - tracks 3 to 11 - are as good as it gets in my view. I was VERY excited about it at the time

I really like this album, the production is a bit tame and dry, but there are some really good songs on here. My top 8 BLUES AND RHYTHM: This isn't a fave but is one hell of a good opener to wake people up that Quo are back! ALL STAND UP: I ing loved this song (see below) THE ORIENTAL: Another great song, I know a lot are bored with it in the set, but I'm not, but I'd give creepin up a rest though. plus the middle bit with matts drum fill! ing awesome. SOLID GOLD: if I review more Quo albums, you'l find I get bored with the shuffle, the so called quo sound, but this sone is an exception to me, and the chorus with the band sing and Francis not really helps the song. GREEN: This song is just nice, I like nice and it's really catch. DIGGIN BURT BACHERACH: Just another supper catchy and quirky song. MONEY DONT MATTER: this took me a while to get the song cause it's different (I like different), it grew on me quick though and is still fave. RHYTHM OF LIFE, Like the last one, different, moody, which makes a nice change for a band that seems obsessed with being fun lol, and ending with the beautiful piano at the end, superb. I could've included a few others but these are faves. Regarding singles, Jam Side Down was just too cheesy and light hearted, which is a shame. my choice of first single would've been ALL STAND UP and could've still worked with the video on the Ark Royal, I believe it could've hit the top 10, but they were a little unsure about their own songs, I know they released it as the second single and performed it on top of the tops, unfortunately it was unaired and I think that made could've made a the difference on it's lack of chart position, a missed opportunity. special note to THE MADNESS, that should've been a bonus track after Rhythm of Life.

All Stand Up Creepin' Up On You Green Jam Side Down Do It Again Money Don't Matter Madness You Let Me Down Hey, you're supposed to choose from the songs from the original album - see poll above. Otherwise you mainly voted for the tunes I left out (Replace JSD with AD and that's it). It's interesting though, that if you include singles, you've left out the obvious ones - You'll Come Round, Lucinda ..

I've left out Another Day because I haven't listened to the album for some time, and just can't remember what that track sounds like! I've also left out Creepin - I don't dislike it but like others more. I love All Stand Up, Jam Side Down and Heavy Traffic, so they would make my A side. Probably with I don't remember.

The first 8 songs in the chart at this moment are the same as I voted. I guess HT is an album we have more or less the same opinion about the best songs.

Guess 12 members contributing in this kind of 'complicated' poll is standard these days, after all you've got to be able to count to 8 .. So I'm going to move this to the Past Cups too and the next will be up soon ..

I guess my answer to the poll isn't all that valid then since I apparently can't count to 8 - or at least can't actually pick more than 5 songs that I really find suitable.

Tracks 1-10 omitting Green and Creepin', which I always found a nasty little song.
Not all great, as much as it was a return to form. Definitely front loaded.

I always liked Green from the get go. A proper acoustic sounding track which Quo almost never did - unless it was a sugary ballad closing a generally $hit album

Green I can take or leave. Andy writing on his own can be hit (Little Me And You) and miss (Figure Of Eight). You never know what you get, but it's usually different. I'm one of the few who loves I Don't Remember Anymore though. Generally speaking I prefer him writing with Rhino and Francis.

Quid Pro Quo is another example of an album being 'front loaded' I think. The same with Aquostic - Stripped Bare. I suppose it could just be that by the time we get to, say, track 10 or 11 we've had enough rather than it being a genuine reflection of the music. Well, it's a theory at least

One of the best albums ever!😊 It's one of my top3 Quo albums as well , but side A is better/more popular than side B as all polls usually prove. E.g. : link
