Nice one They should've nothing but good things to say about it, but why Hello ? Isn't any real anniversary .. Heat would've been 40 years or Quo 45 years .. How time flies :oo:

I've never actually heard of this magazine before. Certainly never seen it in 'all good retailers' Is it online only?

It is a new-ish magazine, is bi-monthly and think they are up to about issue 12. Until this month, like Powerplay and Fireworks, I'd only ever seen it in WH Smith. But I saw the current issue in Sainsbury's at the weekend, so they are clearly branching out.

Had a quick scan of it at the weekend. For £7.99 It doesn't have a lot of pages and the Hello section once you take pictures and a couple of reviews from the time into consideration ends up less than a whole page of words. Not worth it even for Quo.

Not worth it even for Quo. I remember the reviews at the time. If any of them in this mag are positive, they'll have had to be VERY selective

One even suggested they should get outside writers!!

One even suggested they should get outside writers!! Yep. Those were the days I feel like I've been banging my head against a brick wall sometimes when I have always said that Quo in the early to mid 70's were criticised mercilessly. It's even where the term "Frantic Four" comes from. It was NOT meant as a term of endearment Quo at their best = the music press at their worst. But what really got to those hacks was it didn't make a blind bit of difference. Quo just got more and more popular

Especially Record Mirror where I think their editor Alf Martin loved Quo.
