……. And I actually quite enjoyed it. It was a lot better than I remembered it to be. It looks very good visually, the music cranked up loud sounds very good. Fran & Rick are a bit wooden, but the main the thing that lets it down is the dialogue. Overall a lot better than the first 2 times I saw it

What can I say? The campaign for a re-evaluation begins here Almost 6 years has passed now since those heady Hollywood days. I bought the Blu-Ray that Christmas and it remains in it's polythene wrapper adorning the shelf with all the other (unwrapped) DVD's. Maybe we should dig it out tonight. Get the Maltesers and the KFC bucket in and settle down to an evening of hilarious British comedy. Or maybe I should just phone the police and have you committed for crimes against taste All I can say is you were either a very brave man or a very bored one Your post was, as usual, treated with respect until the line " the main thing that let's it down is the dialogue"
Damned by faint praise. Nice try though

The main reason I watched it as I was listening to some Quo when I got home from Work and LOF Caroline and Fiji time came on and it re-ignited the interest. So while I was getting dinner ready and waiting for the wife to come home I slapped it on. Maybe the wine I was drinking helped as well. 😁😁

I could throw that at the second reunion tour I think we're all agreed (assuming craydarr has come to his senses ) that Bula Quo the movie was a huge mistake. Artistically at least. Financially I have no idea. Roll on the Milton Keynes Blu Ray. Which will probably be long after I've contracted dementia and won't be able to appreciate it. I know it's on YouTube. Might give that a go tonight actually

Couldn't tell you what actually happens in the film if I was asked. Cheers

Haven't watched BQ for years and don't feel like I should again, ever .. I do remember though, that I tended to be more forgiving after I had watched the documentary about the flooding before the actual film - or the German synchronisation. Trust me, the original is a master piece compared to that.
