Interesting. I wonder if he's going to promote it with signings in Waterstones. Like he and Rick did with XS All Areas and Just Doin' It. And probably Just For The Record, although I don't remember them doing that in my neck of the woods. You don't often get signed books from Waterstones unless the author has appeared there. Ta for the heads up though

Ta for the heads up though They did it in WH Smiths if memory serves me right. I was 14 and got taken, along with my younger brother, by my older brothers girlfriend at the time, Jos. I remember Rick asking who it was to and Jos said David (my Dad). Rick laughed and said 'Is David in Bed', I didn't really get it, I was a bit awestruck and just stood there like a lemon. Went to the gig later that day, kept telling random strangers I'd met them earlier. I was a right numpty as a teenager!

I definitely don't have a signed copy so they must have just done WH Smith's in Glasgow or something. Actually, there hasn't been a WH Smith in Edinburgh - not a proper big one - since the 80's I don't think. My sis used to work in it on Princes Street. And we were ALL numpties as teenagers. It comes with the territory. Some of us still are

Some of us still are They signed Just For The Record at WH Smith's in Argyle Street - I still have my copy signed by Rossi, Parfitt and David Walker and a flyer with all the UK book signing dates on it. They signed XS-All Areas in Borders in Buchanan Street.

I’m trying to order it with no success. As normal they ask for my cards expire date, but they also ask for my cards start date, what do they mean about that? And there is nowhere to write those three numbers on the back of the card (which always should be done). Strange! Can anybody here please help me and explain how I should do?

Actually, I think I can. 1993 is the only year I ever missed a Glasgow gig because I had the flu. And I mean the proper flu. Only time I ever had that as well. So if it was the day of the gig, that would explain my lack of enthusiasm and travel arrangements. Otherwise, I have no excuse

The signed versions were limited to 300 copies which have all now been sold.

I don't quite get the special appeal of signed things .. I understand why you'd want to have one signature, but why would I need them again and again (if it's not on a cheque that is ) ? Guess those who didn't get one of the 300 could always have their standard bios signed at one of the talk tour events anyway. I know it's still early in the year, but how do tickets sell for these ? Given the number of dates they've got to expect a relatively high demand. .. and just an idea - wouldn't it be nice if Hannah Rickard came along and they'd play stuff from the new album, just the two of them for half an hour maybe ?
