Just watching the video. This is as much a classic as Down, Down or Caroline. Brilliant and Quo being diverse.

I assume he's talking about the one with the young army guys in the boot camp. It's a good video telling a story IMO. Quo haven't done exactly a lot of videos that show more than just the band playing, so this is a positive exception. johns it is indeed a classic. Their only No.1 here and very popular across the spectrum. It went down a storm at Wacken festival, same as everywhere else. Whether some of the fans don't like it is unimportant. And to be honest, there aren't exactly a lot of Quo tunes that all fans love ..

I've just seen it twice recently on these "Top of the Pops" repeats they do on BBC4 on a Thursday and/or a Friday. They're up to 1986 now. Obviously. It was always one of the better Quo videos. A bit more sombre and less cheeky chappy in keeping with the mood of the original song. I always liked it, especially when I first heard it on the album. Before it was a single. I'm just a bit fed up with it now through over-exposure. But that's the nature of big hits. There are very few songs that were huge hits over the last few decades that I bother listening to simply because I've heard them so often. And Christmas is a really bad time for that

In the audio commentary portion on the XS DVD, they comment on how they were told to stand still during their playback portions, which must have been very unusual for a band that tended to move around a lot.

Maybe it's the B&W thing but the GoGoGo video benefits from being mainly B&W
