As a tag-on, anyone know why The Power Of Rock single wasn't in the box sets? They've included the other songs that were given catalogue numbers but were pulled before release. Just askin'. It wasn't given a catalogue number i think is the correct answer? Could be wrong.
"Little Dreamer" was QUO27, and "The Anniversary Waltz" was QUO28.

I provided some tracklistings months ago already, even including different sequences so they had something to choose from! Live Alive Quo could be expanded into a box set given there are several excellent recordings around from the late 80s and early 90s. Don't Stop probably won't get a deluxe edition as it's been reissued on a different label recently. There isn't much to add to it anyway apart from live stuff. Personally I’d love it if they would release a Blu-Ray that would bundle the NEC ’89 together with the Rock ‘Til You Drop event and the Butlins performance. To go back to the original tape of the Minehead gig as well, then put it out complete and without all the yearly information streaming along the bottom and the picture being shrunk or altered from time to time as well. Unfortunately I don’t see any of that happening, don’t know why Quo’s management don’t try putting a bit of effort into the bands back catalogue. This is a great idea and I hope it'll come to fruition. As has been said, video releases are far more cost intensive and have all sorts of issues that can prevent them from coming out properly. There is also the re-recorded version of Paper Plane that was on the B-side of Anniversary Waltz. I think the version of Little Lady on that single was from the NEC. Anyone know why the version of Backwater that just finishes with no fade (on the French triple album) and the German B-side edit of Drifting Away never saw the re-releases? Along with the fade-in/fade-out version of AB Blues? Just askin'. They were probably forgotten about because they're so rare. Also, the bonus disc to Quo was already very full with the (poor sounding) live recording.

I can imagine Under the Influence not being in the Universal remaster series as it was originally on Eagle and has since come out on Edel. But I’d have thought Universal would definitely do something for Don’t Stop along with FITLC. With regards to the actual song, Don’t Stop, I’d be quite interested to hear the version of that recorded for RTYD, as I’d imagine with the production values for that session I’d prefer it to the covers album session. I’d also like to hear the version of Paper Plane recorded for the Power of Rock single, as I never managed to get one of the misspressed copies of Anniversary Waltz it was included on, so have never heard it.

But I’d have thought Universal would definitely do something for Don’t Stop along with FITLC. Don't Stop, Under the Influence and The Party Ain't Over Yet were reissued by Demon Music not so long ago (last year I think). They were skimpy on extras - DS only replicates the '06 remaster, UTI included 1 additional track (POMM rerecording) and TPAOY missed about half of the live recordings. It seems the licenses have changed and I've also been told that a deluxe edition of FITLC will also be unlikely. Shame because it would have been a good place to dump all the post-UTI stuff like the TV series songs and other re-recordings of the era. With regards to the actual song, Don’t Stop, I’d be quite interested to hear the version of that recorded for RTYD, as I’d imagine with the production values for that session I’d prefer it to the covers album session. I did not know about Don't Stop but Paper Plane was definitely part of my drafts, so unless something goes horribly wrong it should be there.

They didn't record "Don't Stop" as part of the RTYD sessions. They just played it as a try out. From memory I think it was a bit less soft than the recording that was released but to be honest I was never keen on the song anyway.

It's not in the box because it was never officially confirmed as being a single and no copies were ever pressed, I'm guessing that because Not At All and Little Dreamer were flops, it was pointless releasing another single from the album.

Nope, as the next batch still haven't been cleared, so... so far they only exist in an excel document

How many of these new Deluxe cd’s are they shifting. All I see is them in knocked down prices. Most Quo fans who are interested own most of the bonus stuff anyway. And now we get to the most critiscised albums by the FF sector. Think they will probably stay in excel format !

And now we get to the most critiscised albums by the FF sector. Think they will probably stay in excel format ! I doubt that. They will be released. Porter is busy at the moment and has probably forgot to give them the go ahead for the next 3 albums. They'll get sorted at some point. RTYD album I love, however, the other 2 not so much... I prefer the Army and Complaining albums over Perfect Remedy and Thirsty Work. Collectors buy them, and then other Quo fans buy them when they lower the price, strangely as they aren't overly priced to begin with. Better to buy them now than wait, cause if you try and find either the Piledriver or Hello! deluxes now you could end up paying double the price or more for them. I've seen them go for over £35 on eBay. More money that people spend on these could be used on other projects... less money would mean that Universal would see no market for future releases and probably wouldn't bother. Quo don't bring in money like other bands do simply because they don't have the US market and there's simply not a big budget for them to begin with... even the Substitute dvd was close to breaking the "bank" so to say. So if you want things remastering and remixing, get spending plenty to be released that Quo fans know nothing about

I have uploaded that version of Paper Plane to my Youtube channel. I like that. Its obviously not the original, but not bad for that era. One song that I really like at the speed they played back then. Would like to hear it without the crowd noise stuck on, although I reckon it would sound weak and is better with the crowd!
