They'll just be dotting the 'i's and crossing the 't's on the contracts and licences probably. Or it's as @bam says; a conspiracy. A dastardly plot to keep Essex folks in the dark so that all the tickets are gobbled up by ageing women in ra-ra skirts and 50-year old blokes in frilly shirts and leather trousers That counts me out then, as I'm in my 60s, but the idea of a ra-ra skirt is appealing!! Go on, let yourself go. Be Susan75 at weekends

Just for my enlightenment - what exactly are ra-ra skirts ? For your education This is the 80's version, although I do believe they've made a comeback. Not in my house I hasten to add. I only have the pink, lacy leggings I had this picture taken for my bus pass back in 1983 when I used to be called Bella

Taken a bizarre twist this thread!
Can I assume that the Quo tour in 2019 is going to be based loosely on the Rocky Horror Show and audience members will be expected to dress accordingly?

It seems to be getting a bit like that with all these retro festivals they're playing. To put a bit of balance on it, it's no different I don't suppose than men and women upwards of 50 sticking on a fetching denim combo to go see the Frantic Four. Or is that a bit controversial?

This ad was in the local paper 6 weeks ago. As for Dr Feelgood, they have no original members, but are still a good tribute band Very strange bill for Quo to be heading.

Wow, a post on topic and not about what you're going to wear when you're heading for your usual spot in the front row like the boys ^^ In the end it's really simple I suppose: They get booked, the payment is right, they play - no matter where or what. They'd probably play any kind of festival or venue if their conditions are met. It's their job. As they tend to go down a storm at any type of festival, the 80s variety might become more frequent. And soon they'll probably start staging 90s music festivals. Sooner or later someone will add Quo to the bill then too.

After The Charlatans and Supergrass have gone off of course

If it happens"wouldant it be great if thay went back too the stacks (the wall of deaf) thrashed out some unplayed material, let richie off the lead, cut down on the keyboards, gagged rhino, throw in a decent lighting rig,get back to basic boogie rock, thay can do it but alas one man wouldant itll be the same old" maybe a couple of tracks off the new rock album if its released, some say thayve moved on,its time now too get off the boring treadmill have fun give the fans what thay want,no more stupid stunts be respected in the music industry again, and most important get back the respect of the fans then maybe thay could continue for a few more years"but its a pipe dream thayve had a good run time to hang up the guitars, frame is not for turning,so the gigs get smaller backing other bands ect its a slippery slope for a once mighty band i wish them luck for the future tours gigs but its not for me anymore"

After The Charlatans and Supergrass have gone off of course Sherri and WYWITR - that would be bordering on innovative and nobody in the audience would have a clue what's going on. No, they'd play RAOTW, WYW and Army and go down a storm, same as usual .. Festival crowds are the easiest to please by far.

I think both mine and their peak are well and truly over. Best not to think about what they still could be as it’s gone. Be happy with what they were !

I think music is different from sports inasmuch as it's also about expression. Some good musicians have managed to compensate the missing youthful fervour with experience and depth. Whether Francis is capable of that, I don't really know.

Really really want to see another Quo gig this year but sadly I have no desire to suffer a festival...as I am sure a lot of you feel the same...we have all followed Quo religiously for many many years going to as many shows as we could on each tour, it saddens me that fans are not going to get any normal concerts, but hey ho, spent a lot of money supporting for a lot of years still huge fan, still my greatest band, just a bit sad now

I think we'll get the usual style of concerts, possibly next winter. Let's hope so anyway. If not, well I've seen the band before Festivals are for the musically tolerant and the socially inclined. Both traits I lost years ago

It wouldn't surprise me if they do a winter Theatre tour, to promote a possible new album, but my Quo fix this year will come from the Minehead weekend in September.

I actually saw a sign for Minehead last week when I was in Devon for a funeral. It's a feckin' long way from here!! I never actually appreciated where it was.
