Whether you like Bonnie or not, the guy has been busy and made good use of the time off Quo .. I believe I've heard Someone's Rocking your Heart before, but don't have a clue where or when

FYI: In the video of Bonnie doing WYW: The guy with the accordion is norwegian singer Bjarne Brøndbo of the quite famous (in Norway) band D.D.E. One of their early hits was one called "Ka e det du vil" (meaning "What do you want?), which is a norwegian cover of WYW. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQy5VPxngIk

I'm not aware of a German WYW version, but a Kölsch (Cologne dialect) version of RAOTW exists - Something like Rock'n'Roll unna de Brick (I don't speak Kölsch so my spelling is probably completely wrong ). Not sure but I think it were the Bläckföss.

There are a couple of Quo cover versions in german around:
Big Harry - Bevor was passiert (Whatever You Want) - Gold Wing (What You‘re Proposing) - Denk nach (Down Down)
Desiree - Was du gern möchtest (What You‘re Proposing)
Fatty Jack - Anna, mach kein Scheiß (Roll over Lay Down)
There are other cover versions in german around but not written by Quo: Benny (Something About You Baby I Like), Wolfgang Petry, J.B.O. (Rockin’all over the World), Fee (In the Army Now), Danny King (Down the Dustpipe), Radio PSR Band (Rollin‘ Home)... I think there are lots more...

Wow, wasn't aware so many exist and I certainly have never heard any of these. Anna mach kein Scheiß ? Reminds me of Uschi mach kein Quatsch Looks like JBO could be Quo fans. I've been to a gig of theirs when they had Stainless Quo supporting them (well, we left before JBO, so not really their gig ).

I was never a Bonnie Tyler fan and even missed her performance on the Quo winter our in whichever year it was. I actually bought what I think might have been her first single called More Than A Lover which I thought was great but then came the big hit Lost In France and the rest was downhill for me. That's me to a 'T' though. Like the obscure but never the hits

Can I subscribe to the list, as I could never stand Lost In France ? You can. But only if you burn every copy you can find of A Total Eclipse Of The Heart. By far her biggest hit which only goes to prove my point Hated it with a passion.

Can't argue with the two of you - those two songs are dreadful ! All very Jim Steinman so I was never going to like either of these epic ditties. Meat Loaf is my second pet hate nestling just in behind those guardians and bastions of heavy rock, Bon Jovi. Between the two of them, they dented my faith back in the 80's. Especially as they were touted as the future of rock music. I laughed but I'm smiling on the other side of my face now

Or am I still not allowed to say anything bad about Queen, still some good songs, but they were diamonds in the e.
