Well, my last Quo gig of the year and indeed the band’s last gig takes place tomorrow in Zurich.
Two things I’ll be interested I :
1) the attendance. Normally Zurich pulls in a huge crowd. It will be interesting to see if this is still a stronghold.
Potentially it will be as it’s been two years since they played here and there are no German winter indoor gigs .
2) Normally there are flyers for the next Zurich gig- im hoping to see they will return in two years !!

Looking forward to it, as I've never been to the venue despite it being not that far away - just a 3 to 4 hours drive.

Haven't done Zurich since 2007 but it is a very large venue, usually packed out. Let's hope they turn out again in force Yep, let us know how it goes, Camster

Well, Zurich again was a fantastic gig.
To answer my own questions- I did t see any fliers for the next gig here...hopefully there will be another occasion in the Hallenstadion.
The attendance was down - I estimate around 9-10,000 as the top of the seated areas at the sides weren’t used.
It was still a huge enthusiastic crowd who were up for a really good time. The atmosphere from the start was brilliant.
This was my first time hearing Backwater from this line up and it sounded really good.
And superb to hear Don’t Waste My Time in the encore.
Francis was in very good humour during BBJ- there was a bit where a little riff was played and the crowd took it upon themselves to shout “OI”!!
This kept happening and he worked both sides of the crowd at this point- it was all good fun.
All in all I’d recommend Zurich to anyone who hasn’t been- you won’t be disappointed.

Totally agree with the above, Marion and I just did the Innsbruck and Zurich gigs and had a fantastic night at each and a lovely day being tourists in two of my favourite cities as well. The crowd at both were in great form and the band, maybe with a longish break looming, were absolutely on fire. The older Andy gets the better he gets and his Hammond fills were fantastic and Richie Malone has really put the rock back into Quo. I can't wait for an even bigger vocal contribution from him on next year's tour.
With new material to tour and a major set overhaul 2019 is looking like a very promising year for Quo.

So where's your more detailed report for Innsbruck (and maybe Zürich too) then .. ? On our way back from Italy we've actually been in Innsbruck too, if only for a short visit at the grandparents' grave .. There's one theme going through all gig reports this summer and autumn - everybody who actually saw them was blown away by just how good this band is and we definitely all hope for more !

There's not a lot more to add to the fact that they're really rocking and looking happier on stage than I've seen them in years. Marion made a shameless comment on Francis's underwear which is completely unrepeatable sadly. I think next year will be really good, the band will be coming back thoroughly refreshed after a good long break, have new music to play for fans and will have had time to really majority rework an rehearse the new set list.

Amen to the second part. That's what we all hope for Now that you've mentioned Marion's comment it's not fair to not tell us what she said ..

Let's just say it concerned women's undergarments and Francis's VPL, must be a female thing to notice things like that.
