Got straight onto the wife when I saw this news earlier. We'll no doubt be going, whether it's Wembley or Birmingham is to be decided. Birmingham is easier in lots of ways but we thought Wembley was a great set up for the ELO gig last year. Can't wait

Never really been a big Eagles fan, although I always liked Joe Walsh. Is he in the band these days?

Not for me, thanks. I saw the Eagles with The Girlfriend (now H.M. The Wife) in 1975 at a festival called Midsummer Music at Wembley Stadium.
The line up was: Elton John The Beach Boys The Eagles Joe Walsh Rufus featuring Chaka Khan Stackridge with DJ and compere Johnnie Walker
Elton didn't have one of his better shows - he played his new album Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy in its entirety. The album was great, but not really suitable for a live show.
The Beach Boys - blew everything and everyone away! The Daily Mail ran the headline "Elton 1 - 3 Beach Boys".
The Eagles - decent set.
Can't remember the rest.

I thought they were bl00dy awful myself

me rog likes the eagles and we have been to see the illegal eagles many times (who are quite superb by the way) I asked him about the proper gig but he said the seats were too expensive.
