Leon, fed up with the industry bull$hit, has decided to pursue an alternative career as a soft furnishings advisor with John Lewis. So Spud is re-joining the band.
His former crowning glory, In My Chair, will now become a mainstay of the set.

I saw TMG in Melbourne in late 1980. Very similar live atmosphere to a Quo concert, and the same type of crowd. Probably most well known for a version of "Jump In My Car", you know, the one that Hasselhof later murdered. I think I'd prefer TMG to JCQ.

Presumably it's not the same Taste that featured Rory Gallagher back in the day. Unless there are original members in the band. Although "the Knights of Love" doesn't really point me in that bluesy direction

A trip to Australia is expensive and then travelling from one city to the next over there will mainly mean more flights. Status Quo shy away from the costs involved and JCQ will certainly play smaller venues. Hope it's worth the while for them. I'm sure the Australian Quo fans will lap it up though. They aren't exactly spoilt when it comes to visits from Quo. Never heard of the other band, but going by the announcement @bam has put up, they're a 70s band too that'll probably fit in well with JCQ's set.

To return to the topic - what has me actually surprised is Alan isn't mentioned. I'd have expected him to be special guest with John's band. Hope it's not health reasons preventing it ..
