Poland (Charlotta Valley) on 27 July 2019. Looks like it's in an amphitheatre of sorts. Interesting venue! Not sure if it's an all day thing or if Quo simply headline a few days of acts appearing at what is called "The Legends of Rock". La route sur fin indeed

That's me trying to be smart and ending up looking an idiot It should have been "la route sans fin". Which is the title of a book I was given at the French Quo party in 2006. Maybe I should have tried my hand at Polish

Interesting rock acts they've had over there so far - although I'm fairly sure the Doors won't have been one of them.
I've got "La route sans fin" aussi even though I wasn't at the French Quo party in 2006. It's an old picture of The Doors admittedly but they did 'reform' and tour briefly with Ian Astbury from The Cult on vocals. About 15 years ago or so I think. Maybe they mean that. I haven't read the book - my French is quite limited. Mainly to "deux vins blanc, s'il vous plait, garcon"

Yes, they did indeed. "Reform", I mean. Apparently the Charlotty gig was in 2012 after Dave Brock had taken over as lead singer. Around 2010? 2011? And boy, did he look the part. But they weren't allowed to tour under their old name, The Doors, anymore. And being able to order some wine in France - what more could you possibly ask for? Being able to order wine in Italy.

Forget about that, Italian wine is overrated anyway .. That venue might actually be quite picturesque, kind of like the amphitheatre on top of Loreley. Edit: Here's a pic

Wash your mouth out! An Amarone is just about the best wine in the world closely followed by a fine Barolo or a Valpolicella Ripasso. There's a touch of the Gelsenkirchen's about the venue as well. Sort of. Wonder what Polish wine is like
