.. the way Francis did with OSAAT, he'd have had to add Quo tunes too to fill up the set too.
So I've been thinking which Quo songs he would and should have chosen. Actually with him being him and averse to practising I fear we might've gotten yet another version of Big Fat Mama, Whatever You Want, Living On An Island and Rain. But at least they'd not have been enough for a full set, so he'd have been forced to add more.
I absolutely loved Francis' choices and for me to have enjoyed Rick's set in a similar way, it would've been great had he played
- a full version (!!) of Mystery Song - Alright - Shine On - Too Close To The Ground - Good Sign ..
What are the songs that you'd have loved to hear, that haven't been in a Quo set, that would've made the set exciting for you .. ?

Quite a lot to choose from, although obviously less than Francis had.
I'd love to have heard these....
Lakky Lady; Don't Think It Matters; Coming And Going; Take Me Away; Resurrection; Shine On; Hold Me; Lonely Man;
Actually, just browsing through Rick's compositions, I've only JUST noticed how little he contributed to the Heavy Traffic album. That surprised me, I must admit.

There's a reason why we never got rid of Creepin' .. Thought Lakky Lady was sung by Francis ? I'd absolutely love to hear Little White Lies, but he couldn't possibly have brought Francis along as a singer. And yep, Lonely Man is a great choice but would he've been able to sing it ? It actually reminds me of For You - I'd love to have that included too, but same problem ..

Francis also sang Too Close To The Ground
I think, as this little thread is just a bit of fantasy, we can discount the fact that Rick wouldn't have been able to sing large numbers of songs - including those on his solo album! I think it's almost certain that he'd have done Little White Lies. It was a favourite of his the same as All We Wanna Do (Polly) is with Francis.

.. Indeed I wonder if Rick would consider any of the b-sides, i.e. Lucinda ? - And Rockers Rollin' should be included too !

I would have liked to have heard some of the following. Think most of these are from the seldom played, or never played category.
Reason For Living Lonely Man or Where I am Hard Time Coming And Going She Don't Fool Me Too Close To The Ground One For The Money No Problems Good Sign Shine On Little White Lies Familiar Blues/This Is Me
Not his song but he would have started with Caroline as a big part of that song live is him, isn't it?

Not sure about Hard Time either. Rick may have written the intro, but otherwise I very much consider it Francis' song and don't think it would suit Rick's voice. I'd have liked to hear an electric Reason For Living too.

But he wasn't meant to Would have sounded better with Ricks vocals... Rossi's nasally voice doesn't suit that track, and I wonder if Rick did record his vocals during the Back To Back sessions

What about "Alright" from the 4th cord? .. see my first post Quo should've done that too instead of Gravy Train IMO. Would've been much better.

If Rick had been able to tour, he probably wouldn't have done a solo album.
