Dunno yet... I've a lot of friends in Middlesbrough, so might go if only to have a good night out with them.

Do we expect a changed set or is that merely going to happen next year ? A Quo gig on a warm summer night and with good company is always nice, but without any changes it would be a test of patience too.

I'm going.
I'd rather go to a straight Quo gig than attend festivals they are appearing at this year.
It'll also be easier getting out of the car park.
Yup, the car park, that's the clincher!!

I'd quite like to go but persuading my missus to attend might be tricky. She's still never forgiven me for taking her to McVention a year or so ago. Two nights of back to back Quo led to an outburst along the lines of 'If I ever have to listen to bl00dy Status Quo again I'll chop your **it's a family friendly board so I've edited this bit** off'.
Serious question, is there much to do in Middlesbrough that I could woo her with in terms of a weekend away?

And this is Middlesbrough remember. In the north east of England. A "warm summer night" is hardly likely to be on the agenda

Else you'd all have to be alcoholics .. or depressed .. or both. @bam - surely something of interest for her can be found .. : Things to Do in Middlesbrough

If it's a half decent day, they might hit the dizzy heights of 20° during the day. I'd be wearing micro shorts and a crop top in those temperatures

Had a quick browse and found it. If it's accurate, it's not wildly different but it does include Backwater, Little Lady, Mystery Song (not as part of a medley unless it's a different medley) and Big Fat Mama. These are all songs Rick WOULD have sung so I can only assume this is Richie coming into his own. The inclusion of Backwater is almost worth the ticket money alone. But if you're fed up with The Oriental and Beginning Of The End, I wouldn't get too excited

Any changes on the Francis side of things and especially the static hits package during the second half of the gig ?

The first three are very predictable as well. In The Army Now is in there when it isn't always. It tends to pop in and out.

Rhino is doing the vocals on at least one of the re-introduced songs!! Always such a disappointing description when it comes to a Quo set list It's just a small observation but if the 'new' bassist is going to be allowed to stand on his own two feet up there, why not give him a song or two of his own making? There are plenty good ones.

They should sell plenty of these in Middlesbrough, as it's a bit nippy on the north East Coast in the summer

Hotel was booked ages ago but with a house move on the cards and all the expense that entails, we might have to give it a miss. I'll see how the next month pans out. It would, like many others, be the only Quo gig this year.
