Ain't Complaining (Rossi,Williams,Parfitt) Everytime I Think Of You (Edwards,Rich,Paxman) One For The Money (Parfitt,Williams) Another Shipwreck (Bown) Don't Mind If I Do (Rossi/Edwards) I Know You're Leaving Cross That Bridge (John David) Cream Of The Crop (Rossi/Frost) The Loving Game (Parfitt,Edwards/Rich) Who Gets The Love (Williams/Goodisin) Burning Bridges (Rossi/Bown) Magic (Rossi/Frost)
Little Dreamer (Rossi/Frost) Not At All (Rossi/Frost) Heart On Hold (Bown/Palmer) Perfect Remedy (Rossi/Frost) Address Book (Rossi/Frost) The Power Of Rock (Parfitt/Williams/Rossi) The Way I Am (Edwards/Rich/Paxman) Tommys In Love (Rossi/Frost) Man Overboard (Parfitt/Williams) Going Down For The First Time (Bown/Edwards) Throw Her A Line (Rossi/Frost) 1000 Years (Rossi/Frost)
So, the poppy/dodgy period (of albums) continued! These albums are totally different to each other (to my ears), and both much maligned for their own reasons. But at the same time, some people find things of beauty within albums that are generally seen as poor. I know they are both being discussed separately, but let us know how you compare them.

I've started us off by voting for Ain't Complaining. Although I would probably be underwhelmed if Quo released an album like this now, I actually love this album. This was one of the first few albums which got me into Quo, and I hadn't listened to the classic albums at this stage, so I loved it. Although it is very poppy, and very much of it's time, I think at least it has some riffs, licks, tempo and passion, unlike Perfect Remedy which for the most parts lack all of these. My favourite of Quo's 'pop' albums (from 1982 - Thirsty Work).

AC by a country mile. Only one skip on it for me and lots of vg tracks if not classics. PR however, has more skips than "listens" and is probably my least liked Quo album. As others have said, AC is of its time but I still play it more than some of the pre EOTR albums. PR...... hardly ever comes out of the CD rack.

Yeah, Ain't Complaining for me as well. I was tempted to go for 'neither, I dislike them both' but that's not strictly true. Although, to be honest, I haven't played either of them all the way through in a very long time. And we're talking decades!

The sound of Ain’t Complaining is much better- more depth and warmth than Pervect Remedy with sounds a bit tinny

I played Perfect Remedy a couple of days ago, well to be honest, just 2 tracks, Little Dreamer & The Power Of Rock And Roll and then I played Piledriver, the only comparison was the name of the band on the covers.

Yeah, well - that's why it's up against AC, although I doubt it'll stand a chance here .. And if you're unable to choose - you can always opt for 'love both' or something

Don't listen to either all that often but if I had to pick between the two, then I'd opt for AC.
I do think that AC would have been much better if the songs that were taken off it had stayed on.
I think I like Reason For Goodbye and Lean Machine more than anything that is on AC.

Ain't Complaining is better than Perfect Remedy...
Perfect Remedy is a sh*te album and it sounds weak overall. Little Dreamer, Perfect Remedy and The Power Of Rock are the only tracks I can listen to

It's funny isn't it, how some Quo albums, like AC, are a long long way from 'classic Quo' and yet some of us can still love them! But then I suppose we like other bands and music besides Quo so it's not that surprising. I usually say 'I like it, but it's not what I want from Quo'! I love AC, but if Quo's next album was like that I'd be disappointed. To me, it's my favourite of Quo's 'poppy' albums.

It's almost like saying, which did you prefer; 1988 or 1989? Both weren't classic years. I split up with one girlfriend (a lunatic) in 1988 and went with another (gorgeous) in early 1989. 1989 was also the year I dispensed with the perm and went through my mullet phase. Hmm, not much between them. Both well dodgy. Bit like the albums

Going to be a bit controversial here, but PR...but only just. I don’t rate either album as particularly great. But with PR, the synths don’t take over as much as they do on AC. There are shuffles on PR that are also missing from AC. I love the outro solo on Man Overboard. The guitars do tend to be a bit more upfront in PR as well. Yeah, theres more country numbers, but it doesn’t have One For The Money Thats my two bobs worth.
