Great stuff. Really like that. Completely out of step with 'modern' releases and almost harks back to the 70's. I can here little bits of UFO and Led Zeppelin in there ( Pack It Up And Go and the more obvious Black Dog). The only Rick Springfield record I own is the 12" single Celebrate Youth from the mid 80's. Good one. Ta for the heads up.

Thanks for listening mortified . He has done some really good stuff especially in the latter part of his career, Venus in Overdrive and Shock, Denial, Anger, Acceptance are very good albums. Celebrate Youth is a great song taken from a very good album, but it is very 80's sounding.

Celebrate Youth is a great song taken from a very good album, but it is very 80's sounding. It does sound very 80's, I know. I listened to it fairly recently when I stuck it on my iPod playlist because I hadn't heard it in years. But it still sounded good. It was his brilliant self-parodying appearance in the TV prog Californication that encouraged me to find a download and listen again. It had that reggae 'feel' that a lot of artists, especially in the 80's, tried to mimic. Think I'll dig out my ankle warmers and Hi-Tec Squash

I followed your recommendation and bought the album, craydarr . And what can I say - it's really good. I really like the bluesier stuff, too. Fantastic, pleased you like it. Always nice when someone tries something off the back of a recommendation. Thank you
