From Quo’s FB page:
STATUS QUO Cancellation of Dec 11th Berlin Show FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: It is with great regret that STATUS QUO are forced to announce that tonight’s show at the Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin has had to be cancelled due to Francis Rossi being taken ill. He appears to have picked up a chest infection which has left him incapacitated and unable to sing. He is currently receiving medical attention in Germany and has left it to the last possible moment to cancel in the hope that he would be able to recover enough to perform, but unfortunately that has not been the case. Status Quo would like to sincerely apologise to the fans planning to attend the show. Ticket holders should wait for a further announcement in due course. The band are primarily known for their touring and live shows, and the cancellation of shows is always a last resort. Status Quo’s manager Simon Porter added, “We hate to have to cancel shows and hope that the fans realise that these situations are outside of our control. There’s absolutely no way that Francis could take to the stage and deliver the kind of performance that the band’s fans expect and deserve”.

They got through the (shortened) British tour without any cancellations this year.
Was anyone meant to be going to Berlin?

Just spotted that on the main site when I was looking for the Zurich date. Mr Rossi is prone to chest infections, bronchitis, that sort of thing. Years of the weed no doubt. That and he needs a good feed. Get a pie in ye. Says the health conscious Scottish male

Tonight and tomorrow cancelled too.
Can only imagine the disappointment for those who bought their tickets ages ago and now this.
Gutted for them

For a spell there. almost every year, concerts were cancelled and invariably it was because one of them, usually Francis, had a chest infection etc.
From a personal point of view, I'd have preferred if the annual tour had been in the Spring/Summer/Autumn and not the winter. Never did much like traipsing about Glasgow after a show in the cold and usually wet weather.

It was the coldest place on earth when we went there for the FF in 2013!!

I saw the boys last week at Apollo Hammersmith/London...amazing as always! Am in Stuttgart now for tomorrow's Aquostic show... Hope Francis gets well enough to perform. Regardless, I wish him speedy recovery! I do my SQ pilgrimage from Israel annually... I am a big fan since 1968...

Enjoy Stuttgart and enjoy Germany. If you find the time, you could perhaps pen a few words telling us all what you thought of the concert?

There was a brief mention of a Quo fan from Israel in Rhino's tour log last week. May we assume?

We are outside Liederhalle...I did not see the update online in time. But that's fine...we met some nice fans on the Plaza... Smokie: Unfortunately, no review tonight...we'll survive... Mortified: Rhino must have referred to another Israeli... Inna: Indeed... I'm the one on the 2013 FF Manchester DVD fans interview... I was overly excited, I know! . SQ music kept me sane during some difficult times in Israel. And thanks for keeping me posted on the cancellation tonight... I'm really glad I found and joined this fantastic Quo forum yesterday. We are returning to London for a Roy Wood gig next week...then back to Israel, better known as Isra-hell... :-)))

Thankfully he isn't with the armed forces, but with supply, but still - it can't be easy for parents ..

It was the coldest place on earth when we went there for the FF in 2013!! Twenty or so years ago, that sort of thing didn't really bother me but it does now.
Used to get really hacked off going outside at the end and waiting at the taxi rank for taxis that always seemed to be very slow in appearing, or walking over to the train station and waiting for a train back to the city centre. Or, worst of all, having to walk back to the hotel.
As I said, it didn't really bother me before but it does now. Must be an age thing

It was better when it was the Glasgow Apollo. It was very central and a 5-minute amble round to Queen Street Station to catch the last train back to Edinburgh. Missed an encore or two in them days It is an age thing. I never thought twice about just wearing a patched up denim jacket to a gig in December. I remember standing in the queue to get in one year and bemoaning the fact that I wasn't a mod so that I could have worn a parka

Was maybe a year or two before those lefties (including the guys) started a trend with knitting everywhere and then wearing these rustic looking jumpers. Many of us followed suit then ..

Are we talking those individuals of a more liberal persuasion? All property is theft and Karl Marx knew my dad's best friend's uncle I think the mod quip was while waiting to get in to the gig in 1981. Although I can't be certain. But it was March (basically still full blown winter in Scotland) and the mods were having their second golden summer in the UK after their 60's hey day. The Jam were riding high. I don't think we went through a radical knitting phase.
