I imagine most reading this will know the set .
From the clips of DDMC I’d seen and the “outrage” elsewhere about it and also the negativity regarding venues and crowd sizes I had stupidly let that chip away at how I much I was looking forward to the gig.
More fool me!
Don’t Drive My Car done in the Acoustic way but electrically sounded so much better live - I really really enjoyed it. I like Francis’solo and it really thuds along
And it was as great to hear Don’t Waste My Time in the encore - I wasn’t expecting that.
The folk around me were up for enjoying the gig - that always makes a difference when there is a good vibe with like minded folk.
And it was good to meet Quo chums old and new
Next up, Newcastle !

Sis was there. She had a blast. We're all off to Newcastle tonight. Might see you there, Camster!

We got Burning Bridges and Bye Bye Johnny in the encore at Bournemouth. But it was all good, and I agree with you Cammy about Don't Drive my Car, I enjoyed the acoustic electronic version!

They kept Don’t Waste My Time tonight in Newcastle 👍 Guess with Quo that counts as a major set list change. They should've played both and instead dropped the Bye-Bye snippet, but I know, they won't ever do that. although it does work at acoustic gigs. Reminds me - less than a week to our gig .

Did they still play Burning Bridges or not?
At Manchester they played BB, Rock n Roll Music, and Bye Bye in the encore.
I'm not a fan of Bye Bye when they don't do any of the verses.

The encore at Glasgow was: Don't Waste My Time Burning Bridges Rock N Roll Music/Bye Bye Johnny

Same at Newcastle last night. I’m loving hearing Don’t Waste My Time Gutted it wasn't in the set at Manchester
Don't think I've heard it since that outdoor gig in the north of England about 3 years ago where Quo first played without Rick and Freddie stood in. They brought it back in because they dropped most of Rick's songs.
