Whoever that band is playing RAOTW at the start ? Quo gig looks and sounds good - venue reminds me of Hammy . The Party might indeed not be over ..

I might be getting my wires crossed, but wasn't Rock the Boat meant to be Aquostic? Or am I getting this mixed up with another cruise thing?

If that's right, I wasn't aware it had changed. I am sure current fans of Francis & Friends will be able to tell you why it changed from acoustic to electric, I am kinda out of the loop now. I still watch current clips, likely outta morbid curiosity than anything else, but when I do , I feel nothing, nothing at all, its a very strange feeling for me, it really is

Sad really Ive. Maybe it’s because you were so blinkered in your fanaticism of Rick that since his death, anything else that still exists you are in denial about ? The appearance of you reverting to the same points when you have nothing to fight back with make me believe so !

Being called blinkered by a Rossi/fake Quo fan is more funny than you have the intellect to realise.Being called blinkered by someone clearly that gullible to believe all of Rossi and Porters pure BS just leads me into pitying them to be honest I have plenty to fight back with really, at least I do not support someone who has made the brand name a disgrace and laughing stock, who clearly has scant regard/respect for a former band member, who employs a manager who couldnt run a piss up in a brewery,,, as you do, lets try that for starters, and folk like you with no defence at all simply inspire me to hammer the point home, so yeah, I do tend to repeat myself in some instances. You must feel so very proud

Francis has been re-energised and found his mojo again. Unfortunately for him, without Rick in the band I don't think demand will ever be quite the same again.

Not enough are interested anymore, and who can blame them

But my point is that if the Cruise ship had booked them to play acoustic then they could have still played acoustic.....the fact that they reverted to electric was obviously their decision and nothing to do with demand/ticket sales.

And while we're at it you are to treat band members respectfully too. All band members. Them's the rules on here. You better play by them.

But certain other members labelling me blinkered and saying I talk bollox is ok with you, thats treating me with respect is it ?, it works both ways, if someone fires the 1st shot, I always fire back. Re: band members, so its ok for others to have veiled digs about Alan & Rick, that's all acceptable, & showing them respect and within the board rules, but the moment someone has a dig at Rossi, that's not showing respect & breaking the board rules, and them is the board rules are they,,

Just playing devil's advocate here but they may have changed to electric on the cruise if that wasn't selling well either. The tickets were hugely expensive - as they would be for any cruise - but I have no idea how these things sell generally. They seem have these 'rock' cruises all over the world but more especially off the coast of America.
The line up, apart from Quo, seemed to be pretty obscure as well. Angry Anderson was the only act I'd ever heard of and only because he was in Rose Tattoo many moons ago.

Same goes for the band. You can dislike their voices, playing, what they do .. but ridiculing them or attacking them personally is just not on. Btw. This is a message board, not a battle field. Nobody is firing at you. Your main problem to me seems to be that when someone likes what Francis or the current line-up does, that you feel it puts Rick down. And you can't have that. Rick just has to be the best there ever was, so to achieve that you talk the others down. You've got to accept that one has nothing to do with the other. People can like Francis, the current band and what they're doing and at the same time think Rick was a great rhythm guitarist. Putting the first down doesn't make the latter appear better. There is no need to defend Rick against his own band, his partners and friends. Please consider this.

Please consider this. ah ok, got it now, so its ok for me to state someone is talking bollox, that's not a personal attack, I will remember that Just to correct you a little, if they did something I thought sounded ok I would say so, ok so I wouldn't regard it as SQ but I would say I thought it was ok if that was the case. A little scenario for you,,, IF they release a new album of new material and there is stuff on there I like or think is ok I will say so.Would I buy it ?, doubtful unless the majority of songs were songs I liked, would I regard it as SQ, no. If on the other hand they do something I don't rate at all I am surely entitled to say so and why I believe that to be the case, or is it indeed a case of I am expected to say nothing at all,, unless I happen to like it ? I don't feel whatever Rossi & Friends do puts Rick down at all, I feel it often tarnishes/cheapens the legacy he in part created. Yes of course folk can like what they still do, equally folk can also dislike what they do.
