Two very good songs, the rest I can happily do without, so you see Rossi fans, if he does something I like I WILL always say so

Always thought Faded Memory was the worst track on the album. By some distance actually. One Step At A Time was the down the aisle song at our wedding. My wife won't have a word said against it. So I don't.

I really like the album, but it's the same as with Aquostic: I never listen to the studio album, I listen to the Live At St. Lukes version, as that includes some of my all time favourite Quo songs too. What a set list that was ! Probably my most watched video as well, such a shame he never did another tour ..

One that springs to mind is Electric Arena which is much improved on the original. Which wouldn't be hard if I'm honest.

It probably was a very good move to have two more guitarists beside himself, so Francis was able to concentrate on the singing. All Quo songs sounded great and it were just two I could take or leave (Old Time RnR and Margie Time), the rest I absolutely loved ! I know I've said it a few times before, but what a great gig that was !

It was actually the best gig of 2012 and has stayed long in the memory. It was important that he used other musicians away from Quo. He said that himself. Was Leon the drummer? That sort of rings a bell.
Diggin' Burt Bacharach was the highlight for me. Not really sure why. Just was.

And yep, that's how he got to know and appreciate Leon. There wasn't a single highlight for me, with every new song that started I went yes, yesss ! The set list was as near as perfect for me (My Little Heartbreaker, Tongue Tied, Can't Give You More, You'll Come Round ..)

The gig was on the 12th so that must have been in my head as a typed. It's an age thing You are quite correct. I agree. There were many highlights. Although I have to say Tongue Tied wasn't one of them!

I was not aware they had recorded some NEW songs, I guess I must have missed that , what I saw was total desecration of classic songs to be honest

Equally I know some Rossi fans who went and left early as it was in their own words, not mine "utter e"

New in the set type thing. But, even so, songs such as My Little Heartbreaker and Tongue Tied were relatively new at the time anyway, having come from Quo's previous studio album.

They went to a Francis Rossi gig, what did they expect (a 30 minute version of 45 Hundred Times)!!

It wasnt S.H.I.T.E in your'e opinion, fair enough, it was in theirs though, and I wasn't expecting them to say that as they were big Rossi fans. They went to a Rossi solo gig, as Rossi fans and left (early) disssapointed, I did warn them not to bother, but they would not listen . I didnt bother goin but did buy the DVD,(out of morbid curiosity) watched it once, almost vomited, and then sold it for what i paid for it, so all ends well, they won'y go again if there is anymore, & I won't buy any future product, everyones happy

Ok. So if they were Rossi fans, and assuming they'd heard the album, what were they expecting? What was so bad, what did they not like? They hadn't heard the album, they avoided it on purpose as they wanted to hear the stuff live in concert first. Well, with the greatest respect, it served them right. Why pay £30 (or whatever it cost) for a ticket that you haven't got a clue what you're getting! It was obvious that most of the songs from his new album would be played. They could've listened to the songs on Youtube (or other sites) for free before shelling out the money for the ticket. That explains why they thought it was sh1te. But (and I know this is technically an opinion), the concert wasn't sh1te it was very good. The reason they didn't like the concert was because they didn't like the album because they'd decided not to listen to it before they went. So I have to say, that was their fault.

They went to support Rossi, ok so they went blind, but they didn't wanna know what was gonna be played, the element of surprise if you like, I had heard the album and tried to warn them they would be dissappointed, they wouldn't listen, of course they were not expecting to hear a Quo like gig, but as one of em said to me afterwards " I dunno what I expected but I expected more than I saw, my expectations of Rossi were obviously far too high" Regarding the album itself, for me, there are 2 very good songs on that album, had the majority of the album been as good as that even I would have been very tempted to go

It was the very first solo gig in Edinburgh, so nobody had a clue what to expect. And he didn't disappoint. Francis did not play the same old same old and kept well away from all hits. Yes, he was extremely nervous, but the set and the quality of performance more than made up for it. One of the very best gigs I've ever attended.
