There was a Live At Knebworth EP released as a download on iTunes which also included a video of In The Army Now. I don't think it ever came out on CD but I can't say for certain. I hope not coz I don't have it! But it's just really the same 4 tracks already available on the DVD, 3 of which were also on the original CD. So nothing we didn't already have. Never sure of the rights to these big releases which have so many big artists on the bill. But ta for the info, Quoincidence. Interesting stuff.

The warehouse fire story might have been a ruse to keep things quiet. The band, well Rick and Francis, always said they hated the Milton Keynes footage. The fans disagreed and thought it was brilliant. Such is life. But several proposed releases or projects have been stopped in their tracks for one reason or another ( Swedish Radio Sessions anyone?) and it's maybe been to help maintain and not deflect from the 'brand' that Quo became from around the 90's onwards. Then again, it might just have been because of Alan which I imagine is no longer an issue. All speculation on my part. And probably all bollox I can understand why Rick and Francis don't like the Milton Keynes footage. If you compare the performance to the 70s footage I do think that Dr*gs and alcohol had taken hold and the band looked and sounded well past their best at that stage. I do think it's a poignant moment in the band's history though that deserves a proper DVD/Blu-ray release, full concert in the correct order. I used to love it and watch it all the time as a teenager when I first discovered Quo.

I think they should release a DVD/Blu-ray box set of all the concerts that they have in one package. There's some that have only been released on video, some that we have snippets of on various recent releases, some that were cut or released in the wrong order etc etc. When they've finished releasing the vinyl box sets it would be good to get a decent DVD box set. Quoincidence, how many decent quality concerts have been recorded in total? (Number of different tours; there's no point in having 3 from the same tour).

I remember seeing it listed for pre-order with the full tracklisting, followed by that artwork. It was around the same time as the Live at The BBC release from memory. I only ever had an awful radio recording of the gig, until I got a copy of a broadcast that a German Radio station aired. I Ain't Complaining As for recorded gigs throughout the years we have; Wembley Empire Pool ('74 if that exists in full). I know it was a last minute decision to film the gig and the cameramen were having issues with the film getting jammed and what not. Madrid 1975 (If this exists in full STILL, then we'll have the first live recorded performance of Down Down) Birmingham N.E.C 1982 (Both Nights) Dortmund 1982 Milton Keynes (Not sure on what footage there is) Brussels 1986 Out In The Green Festival 1986 Birmingham 1989 Berlin 1990 Knebworth 1990 Butlins 1990 Birmingham 1991 Wembley 1991 Glasgow SECC 1991 Sheffield 1991 Sutton Park 1992 Amsterdam Studio Sessions (Technically not a "LIVE" concert, but was a live performance from Quo in a studio session) (There's a lot of screen footage from gigs during the 90's period like the Wembley 1996 gig... Not sure as to how many) Russia 1996 Brixton 1996 Pub Gig(s) 1999 Shepherds Bush 2000 One and Only 2002 Montreux 2004 Basil Sessions 2005 Birmingham 2006 Birmingham 2008 ---------------------------- God knows what else there could be

They were sort of gathered round in a studio playing what was basically the radio edited version of the live song and just went straight into it on cue. I sort of remember that was broadcast from Holland. I've never seen it since though so it's all from memory. I dare say it's on You Tube. Isn't everything?

Yeah, it was the only track aired from the sessions, and it's on youtube along with Mystery Medley and a piss about of them playing the Whatever You Want intro. I genuinely think late 80's very early 90's was the best period for THIS lineup without a doubt The sound they had, the energy and the tightness... When they first got together in 1986 they were a mess and were up until Rossi and Parfitt got their acts together and stopped taking the marching powder. Genuine andrenalised energy was what essentially give the lineup a kick up the arse.

It looks strange, because Rick and Fran's mics aren't in a straight line.....they're sort of at right angles to each other!

Tell that to Queen who seem to only regard concerts from 86 worthy of DVD release. At least 2 so far from 86 and a couple from the early 80s but hardly any 70s ones. Though Rainbow and Hammersmith are very very good.

Not heard a Dickie. Was it official or someone putting it together privately? Combining the two video releases into the one DVD and sorting out the set list running order as well as those hideous edits on Forty-Five Hundred Times and Roadhouse Blues would be a masterstroke if it could be done. I was actually quite surprised that they didn't clean up and release the NEC gig on DVD to coincide with the issue of the CD the other week. There was surely an opportunity to have one of the formats in an expensive all in one package. They didn't bother with a DVD because, and I quote; "We didn’t do the DVD as frankly they are too expensive and no one tends to watch them! – we may be doing a DVD compilation next year, just finalising plans now." - This was after they had JUST released the LNoTE DVD, but apparently no one watches them? As for an official End Of The Road release, we could see one at some point. The audio has been remastered, the full tapes that is... not the edited ones we all know and hate. Regarding footage, the last I heard is they was tracking them down with Bob Young as they're not in their vaults, but they could be under something else. So they don't know what footage they do and don't have, the warehouse fire story was BS. It could see a release in 2019 for the 35th Anniversary, if they find who holds the rights to the tapes these days. I wouldn't compare NEC with LNOTE. One, the NEC recording has been out in some shape or form so no matter how much will be restored it will still be advertised as a reissue. Two, different record companies. Different budgets. A (non-Quo) box set project that is very dear to my heart has also apparently had its video DVD axed for the same reason. The LNOTE project was set up and prepared to tie in with the buzz around the tour, and I assume edel/earMUSIC would want more not less Quo material in their control (see also: Aquostic Live). Universal can't claim the same thing for their reissues, which seem to be targeted at a smaller market and also get less marketing / distribution (I rarely ever see the deluxe editions in a actual CD store).

I’m still working on the NEC 1982 gig using various sources to pull together an (almost) complete version of the gig. It’s a very difficult task, given that any audio that isn’t part of the video release, seems to be a few milliseconds faster than the footage, meaning theres a lot of edits to be done.
I did have a first draft, which was made available for a brief period. I still have this first draft, though the audio is far from perfect and the video still needs a fair bit of tidying too. But it’s the full gig in it’s (almost) entirety. Aside from some of the Rossi chatter (like at the start of DW) all of the songs are there.

Speaking of which, if anyone has any excellent quality video or excellent audio of the 1982 Charlie gig, I’m still looking for good sources! I’m hopefully getting some improved laser disc footage sent to me (my original laser disc footage has a lot of noise!) Thanks to those who have assisted with some sources already. Hopefully the final product will be worthy!
