Good for you - too far north for us though .. Edit: We'll actually be in the Netherlands on the 14th Oct. - will have to find out where Drachten is

Always liked them since a couple of their covers were put up on the 'jukebox' on the old official message board. They do a blistering version of Wild Side Of Life.
Never seen 'em live though. Doesn't look like it'll be this year either.

I remember seeing them in Glasgow at the McVention a year or so back. They're very good.

I've never seen a Quo tribute band.
I'm not sure about the whole tribute thing to be honest.

I'm not sure about the whole tribute thing to be honest. If you ever see any at all, see State of Quo with Ian Hill at the helm. They are outstanding. Piledriver aren't so much a tribute act as a band that play in the Quo style, although they do the odd cover. Predatür are the same.

@inna, I think that's an excellent way of looking at things. I've never left a concert feeling disappointed or not having enjoyed it but I do, or did, feel a bit down about the sheer predictability of it though. I suppose that would be the beauty of seeing a tribute band in that I wouldn't have a clue as to what was up next. Unfortunately for me, the only tribute acts that visit my area are the Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers kind of ones

Interesting news ! Any dates/venues known already ? Here: www.facebook.com/PILEDRIVER.Germany/app/123966167614127/I received an e-mail the other day to let me know that their gig at Matrix has been postponed. They didn't say why. We'll have to wait until April next year now to see them at said venue. That's life. Thanks Inna. I've got two Nazareth albums, so the combination would've been interesting. Alas, nothing even in the wider area .. And Drachten is in North Holland. We'll be in the south .

The first couple of albums they did were good, very good the last album was pure e imvho, I don't rate them so highly as I once did, there are better bands out there and recent footage confirms that imvho

@inna I haven't been to Wattenscheid, no. I've been to a few gigs in Germany; Stuttgart (twice), Gelsenkirchen (twice), Bamberg, Köln and Koblenz off the top of my head. Chances are my Quo travelling to Europe days are over. But you never know
