Thought I'd come back on here to give my review of seeing Quo yesterday at the Brentwood Festival.
This was the first time I have seen a Quo show without Rick. Of course it was different, and it wasn't the same but I was expecting this, and it was still a brilliant show.
The crowd were loving it and I did too!

I was there too and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It was much better than the o2 gig last year. Francis seemed in a very good mood too. I wasn't expecting a full set but they played for 1h40. I missed rick but I can except him not being there now he has died rather than them carrying on without him while he was ill and recovering. I just wish they would drop rain and it sounds wrong being dropped a note so rhino can reach the notes plus drop creeping up on you too as I'm sick of it. Plenty of other songs they could play instead.

Nice to have you back rocker - and it's always good to hear from people who enjoyed a Quo gig 1h40 is indeed long these days and not just for a summer gig. I agree about those songs need to be taken out, 747727, but same goes for lots of other songs too and not just Rick's .. Maybe, hopefully for the UK winter tour.

I see Quo were supported by the Bishop's Stortford ukulele Band, on Saturday and no I wasn't there, but Ive just seen a clip on YouTube of them performing Space Oddity with 3 Quo fans, up by the front barrier, enjoying their set..

Oh, and me and my son got to meet Francis, Rhino and Andy before the show. I was a very lucky winner of a backstage pass! 🙂

A backstage pass is more than a meet and greet I suppose - were you free to stay in the backstage area during the gig as well ? And did you tell the band it's about high time they change the set ?!

Such a shame they weren't support while Rick was still around. He'd have loved it ! Although Space Oddity - really ? LINK !
