This guy is nearly 70 and he's come up with a new single that sounds vibrant and fresh. Brilliant this. Although judging by some of the comments, your average Alice fan thinks not. Fools.

Quite like it, the backing Vox remind me of Def Leppard.
Nice guitar Work as well

Just following on from this, his new album is a belter. He's got one or two people of note on board and the track he does with Billy Gibbons is wonderful. Basically, ZZ Top with Alice on vocals. I think this might be my all time favourite album by him. There's nothing fancy about it; nothing groundbreaking. It's just straight ahead rock. His lyrics and delivery, though, really are superb. My favourite album of the year so far. The old buqqer

I always liked his pragmatic and almost satirical approach. He's a naturally funny guy and doesn't give a toss about having one image as a dark rock hero and another as an enthusiastic golfer making insurance adverts with Ronnie Corbett here in the UK! And now a grandfather. Actually, Iggy Pop made insurance adverts as well if I remember rightly. Once you get to your late 60's and early 70's, you can't take your career too seriously. You can respect your art but you can see through all the BS that comes into the room.

His New Album Detroit Stories is a cool album, quite rough round the edges and a nice variety on there.
