Yep, that's what I thought too, but there might be a plaque somewhere, probably near a plant of the family's choice, so they've got a place to go to. No grave as such though.

carolinegirlI'm inclined to agree with what has already been posted. From my experiences with crematoriums, there isn't a grave. The family can opt for a tree, a bench etc to be planted/reserved in the memorial garden but I don't think there's a grave as such. The family are given the ashes and it is then up to them to scatter as to where they deem appropriate.

I suspect his Ashes have been scatterd at a certain other grave. Lets put it this way if it was me that's where I would want my ashes scattered.

Rick has earned a beautiful tomb and tombstone with guitar above or something similar, where the fans could have gone and candle a light.<br>

Ashes are not necessarily scattered after cremation. In our cemetery we reserve a section for cremated ashes where they are interred under their own small slab and relatives can place a vase on top. This option is very popular and the ashes may come from any crematorium (Bushbury, Stafford or Sutton mainly) and folk have somewhere close where they can remember their loved ones.

I've never heard of anything so crass and distasteful. Read The Lord Flasheart's post and reflect on it! Bit harsh. It sounds like she's being serious, but doesn't mean any disrespect. It sounds like the idea is from a fans point of view though, not that of the family.

She messaged me privately and explained her English isn't great so hadn't realised quite how bad it came across. Some of the people on facebook though seriously need a reality check or psychiatric help.

I agree with The Lord Flasheart - the most probable place will be Heidi's grave. He has never gotten over losing her - how could he ?! - so I'd assume this would be the place where he'd want to be.

With the scattering of ashes not allowed, this is how cremated people are usually buried here. Hubby's Austrian granddad has his urn standing in a hole in his wife's tombstone - secured by a grid, so it can't be taken out by passers-by. Very strange arrangement that ..

I haven't visited the crematorium where my dad's ashes are.
I don't need to.
He is in my mind and head whenever I want.
Only my opinion but that's all that matters.

No I have never visited either crematorium where my parents' ashes are because they have no association with them for me. I prefer to remember them as I knew them. However it is different with the grave of my late husband. He is buried in our village cemetery and several of the graves around him contain people we knew well. I shall be joining him there when my time comes.

I go every every year to put flowers on the grave.

Can anyone please inform me where the blue round plaque dedicated to Ricky's legacy--mentioned elsewhere in the forum--is located? Having (to my understanding) no gravesite at Woking cemetery, I would like very much to pay respect for Ricky by visiting-observing the plaque while in London next week. Thank you!

Just goggled it, this is what I found. Woking's very own Status Quo legend Rick Parfitt will forever be remembered in the town after a blue memorial plaque was unveiled on Thursday. The plaque will take pride of place in Jubilee Square after the veteran rocker - Quo singer, songwriter and guitarist - passed away on Christmas Eve last year.

We have visited Woking today. I could feel Rick in the air...singing, playing, laughing, drinking, joking, smoking...although I know he had resided elsewhere for decades... Walking to Jubilee Square to see Ricky's BBC commemoration plaque, I was thinking...wow!...he walked through those streets growing up... Hope it doesn't sound too trivial to some... :-) I would have posted a pic here, but I don't know how to do that...
Getting ready for Roy Wood gig tomorrow!
